I was going to mention the remodel of the old Vu but that started over a year ago so I do not trust it is coming back.

I guess the good news is Ohio does not appear as if they will close bars, at least anytime soon. But expect mandatory masks in Toledo soon. The blackmailing council members vote on it tomorrow. Maybe we can buy some no votes LOL

BadBird was right-on with the mandatory Toledo masks! Only Ludeman got enough carrot cake to vote No.

The Platts facebook page has photo's and a video clip of the Vu remodel on April 20. Some major under-floor plumbing and concrete work going on.

The page now says Platts is "Permanently Closed" with "Exodus" plastered across the top of the page.

They should have taken the insurance money from the Scarletts fire and consolidated into the 2 clubs across the street from each other, or just into Platts.

I don't understand all that construction investment into Vu when they had places pretty much set to operate right away. Were they expecting a bunch of new southwyck-Amazon employees to be customers there?

Chablis is open. They had two white girls, sisters, and a black girl. Older sister is a redhead with bigger tits, gave decent dances but nothing I was really looking for. The black girl looked cute but who knows how she is. Crowd was typical Chablis it not a problem. I'll try to stop in various times during the week to see what's up.

Headliners was a small concert venue. Noticed the crowd gathering outside on a few occasions.

I'm pretty sure someone here referred to Glass City Showgirls as Glass Shitty Showgirls. I also remember a BP lady or two that also worked there.

Che Joey downtown was shut following a shooting (as I recall). One of my regulars danced there for a short period of time. Are there any clubs left downtown? It has been a while since I've been down there. Who remembers Brenda's Body Shop and the Sheik's Tent?

No clubs downtown at this time. I remember those others but I was a minor.

Was there a Jeds on Detroit/ Matzinger or was that something else that Laceys was attached to?

I think it was a Jed's at one point. It was also called Headliners at some point. Not sure what went on in there as I never ventured into it.

Over the past 5 or so years we have lost (and not replaced) TSG, Marylins/Pole Kats, Lux, Whatever the one next to Jeds was called, Deja Vu, The Palms, Scarletts Rt2/Diamonds and now Plat/Scarletts. I will list that as Plat/Scarletts as in the end there will likely be one of the two still there.

Am I right in that you can now count them on one hand? Plat/Scarletts, Lust, Chablis, Hush and Agora. Did I miss any? Also, I assume Agora is currently closed given Michigan closed bars again?

The one next to Jeds was called Four play / Laceys Play House. Had a smoking hot bartender there on day shift.

The old Vue is being remodeled and should reopen as Charlies Angels. After that is done Scarletts was set to reopen. According to what I heard.

Hush had reopened as a juice bar then I think it had closed before the covid crap happened.

Yes Agora is closed now. Several of the Platnium staff was working there. One of the managers, security, dj, couple of bartenders / waitresses and about four dancers. I seen two Platnium girls over at Lust.

Denta may be a little uninformed. Plat ownership did invest in the old Scarletts. Hell they even hung an electronic sign on the side of the old Scarletts with Platinum ads while they were working on the remodel. To be clear though, this is Scarletts on Telegraph. Not the old Scarletts/Diamonds on Rt 2 in Oregon.

As for the comment of not being able to pay for the remodel, fair call out. Clearly they abandoned the old location given the evection notices posted. Was not simply a situation of the lease running to maturity. From there you can attempt to draw conclusions. In the end it is not a good thing for Toledo clubs as Plat was the best of the bunch. Now that is not saying a lot as Toledo does not have a great pool of clubs to compare with. Who knows Covid may claim another club as well before it is all over. One of the former managers from Platinums posted on social media times for the girls to get all their shit, because they wouldn't be opening. I think a few have went North to Agora.

No it's not the same owner don't make up rumors they are reopening after this weekend due to covid and holiday.

There is a eviction notice posted on the door. Landlord has taken possession of the building.

If he cannot pay rent at plat he cannot pay the remodelers and a lean will be put on the building / business. Something tells me the owner does not plan well, IE spends it as fast as he makes it.
