Strip clubs in Ohio that want to sell alcohol will not be allowed to have topless dancers or show nudity, according to a ruling by a federal appellate court on Friday.

The ruling upholds an Ohio Liquor Control Commission regulation that says, "An establishment holding a liquor permit may not knowingly or willfully allow nudity or sexual activity on its premises."

A group of strip-club owners in Cleveland challenged the state rule and won in U.S. District Court in Cleveland in 2004. The Ohio attorney general's office appealed the ruling; the federal court issued an injunction that barred the state from enforcing the liquor commission's rule while the appeal was pending, said Assistant Attorney General Elise Porter.

In the wake of Friday's ruling from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, it's unclear how quickly the state may begin enforcing the rule again.

Judge Eugene E. Siler Jr. wrote the opinion for Appellate Case No. 07-3178 with Judge James L. Ryan concurring. Judge R. Guy Cole Jr. dissented.

Well, let's see. 2 years, probably went in 300 out of 365 days in a year, that's 600 days. They probably spent $200 - $300 a night on girls. Being conservative, let's say $200 a night. They spent no less then $120,000 of tax payers money on lap dances and extras. This also doesn't count any supposed money they spent on drugs. GO FIGURE! Someone should be asking questions.

If all that was available at that club - why was it never reported on this board? Anybody here ever get extras there? I had never even heard of the place.

10TV is saying our Uncle spent two years 'investigating' Pearl for sex and drugs. 10TV claimed LEO purchased sex and drugs. Exactly why didn't they arrest the person immediately? I thought it was the law- to arrest someone immediately if found breaking the law. It tookem two years? So taxpayers were paying for lap dances for two years and taxpayers paid for sex and drugs?

Too bad news stations are 'in-bed' with LEO.. we will never get an answer of how much money was spent on this one.

Motel 6 was a great place to meet

I might be a newbe on the forums and have been out of Columbus for a while but I started in the strip clubs and AMPs in Columbus back in 1982.

Remember when ALL the extras could be had at the columbus strip clubs back in the day??

The second place was a little east of there and about a half a block south of 161 - also close to the Motel 6 - convenient for take out

I think you are talking about Satinwood Dr. next to Motel 6. I'm not aware of ANY businesses south of E161 in that area, just houses.

Are you talking about north of E161 on Ambleside? If so, I think you are talking about a club close to the gas station. I think it used to be called Excalibur. Is that what it is still called? I haven't been to that club in years.

Like Sullivant Guy said, more details please and how hot were the girls? Do they play with each other first? Details is a must here...LOL.
