Maybe others have heard differently, but in 4 years I have neither seen nor heard about any sting operation in Independence ... Mentor, Beachwood, Berea, yes ... but never Independence.

It seems like couple of years ago they were running stings in Independence. Westlake police have also gone on record and say they cruise the motel parking lots on a regular basis. I personally stay away from both of those areas plus Berea. Beachwood and Mentor are further that I'm going to drive, so I'm not worried about there.

I'm not sure why Independence concerns you. It's the area's single most popular city for high-end touring women and agencies, way more than even downtown Cleveland. I have seen dozens of women in Independence, both touring and local.

I see the occasional cop car in the area also, but what would you expect with such a high concentration of hotels, restaurants and traffic? You are correct. However with this virus that part of Independence is a ghost town as well as most of the hotels are empty and not allowing visitors. Also, the unmarked squad was unoccupied.

I grew up on Kenmore Blvd, so the area doesn't concern me. But the arrest for solicitation does concern me.

Always go with your gut feeling. Never saw Toni Benz, she's been around a long time with no issues reported. Most likely everything was ok and what you saw was unrelated to her, however you never know. She's been there a long time and may have attracted to much attention.
