Had some free time to myself last Monday around midnight. It was right before the cold snap last week so the weather was still a bit pleasant. I haven't picked up a walker in probably 5 years, but every once in a while I cruise through McMicken to see the talent (or lack thereof.) Ever since they put up those barricades a while back it's been pretty dead in my opinion. Three weeks ago I was coming back from a late meeting and drove through and there was one tall blonde, even in the dark I could see years of using on her face, standing in front of the run down apartments in the western section of McMicken. I wouldn't have even taken a free car date, she was gross and her pimp / dealer was sitting on the porch right behind her.

Pre-barricades, like 10-15 years ago, this area was much better. Day or night you could find at least 3 providers on that stretch guaranteed. Now, I drive through about three or four times a year, usually after dark and it is either dead or pickens are incredibly slim. Car dates aren't really my thing anymore but I still like to look at the menu when I'm in the area and have some time to kill. I could be coerced to pick up a walker again if they were hot and / or not totally destroyed by drugs, but that hasn't been the case for years.

Now that weather is warming up, they may return to this street at night, I'll probably drive through again in the next few weeks and report what I see.

I stepped out about three hours ago, and was doing some cruisin' around the city.
