Along these lines, although this isn't an issue for me right now, be aware that a tracphone IS a problem if your SO finds it. I had a fake name on mine and everything, but nothing good came of that. Keep that thing secure, and preferably not at home, or anywhere in your car that it might be found, and keep it on silent, no vibration.

Other than that, yep, that's a good choice for an anonymous phone!

The list can be seemingly endless on what not to do in this hobby. Yes, allowing your SO to find your burner phone is just plain dumb. You simply have to be smarter than the hobby.

The OP was speaking of the problem using a texting APP. I'm sure many can recognize when those APPs are being used and the Providers know too. My choice is a tracphone burner, it works for me and I don't have to remember to use it or lose it when it comes to the number. Some Providers won't do business with texting APPs. It's an individual choice who you play the game. Just have to be smart about it. Cheers!

TracPhone is never a problem, the area code you'll get is usually NOT in your area (I'm in Central FL and have an AL area code). It's a "real" number so I've had no trouble connecting.
