Although I personally haven't really had much interest in some of the new providers getting raved about on the board, I completely understand why it's done. You want to build up the rep of these providers up so when new individuals join the board they can have something to refer to when inquiring about them, granted one has the common sense to do a search if who they are wondering about is not on page 1.
