By LAW, any syphilis, gono, chlamydia, HIV MUST be reported to the state's health department. There could be a technicality of licensed with the VDH. But the key word is must, not that they always do. I was told this by a health department official who left a card on my apartment door after a positive test and wanted to know who I was shacking up with. Also, here's where I'm getting my information.
If you're a single guy go get the free one. If not, go ahead and roll the dice.
The way I see it if you go somewhere else and they test you and you come up positive. Doc in the box or wherever. Anywhere it Has to be reported to the VHD. If you get it done there, they already know. They do not send any information to you via email phone or US Postal Service.

THIS is what you don't want if you're married! LOL So fucked up that they would do that! It does nothing but encourage people not to promptly get tested and treated. I am shocked that they have the resources to conduct that type of follow up.
I'm not sure where you got your information. But I've been and I actually had something and it was never reported to anybody.

Same here, good experience with the HD and I didn't have any issues with them. I usually go through planned parenthood for my regular tests every few months or if there is some sort of concern that comes up. The one time I had something they tested and it came back positive. They didn't happen to have that particular shot in stock that day so I was referred to the HD. At the HD they asked a few general questions redid the test, did their exam, and gave the shot. They asked some contact tracing questions and told them I had already made contact with the girl and they left it at that. Nothing more.
Can this be done anonymously? My S. O. Is in health care and works for one of the larger employers in the city. Moreover, she knows lots of providers throughout town. I don't need my name attached to any STD tests.

So first off when I thought I had something. I ask some questions on the board. Numerous people said use stdcheck.com so I did. Paid the money got the results back and I actually they said I was clean. Well, I knew for a fact that I wasn't so I decided to go to the health department. They were very helpful. They did ask a few questions but when the nurse came in to examine me, she said Yep you've got syphilis. Gave me a shot in the ass had me speak with a health worker. I never heard another word and didn't pay a dime. It's been over a year. So my recommendation is go to the health department save yourself some money, get it taken care of as soon as possible.
That's my two. Cents.
IRA.

Health department if free but if you test positive it's reported. Then they will want to know your partners. My advice. Go to stdcheck.com and order a full screen panel. You go to LabCorp and they send out your test. If positive then you get a call from their doctors. And if you think you have something, go see a doctor.

Even if they did, just say it was from a dating app and you didn't know their full name. The nurse told me there was another guy the same day that came in with the same shit I had. I had to get the shot to kill gono and fucking hate needles so I've been staying away from hookers lately. I just met up with a "normal" girl on facebook and told her to get tested so we wouldn't have to use a rubber. The skank had chlamydia and herpes. I can't fucking win. This girl doesn't do drugs or anything.
That was nice of her to tell you that she went and got tested (before you had sex), and that her tests came back positive for multiple STD's.

I assume most mongers get checked occasionally for preventive maintenance? What is the best place for testing / treatment? Are there any locations that do it for free? I am pretty sure most states including VA have mandatory reporting laws that require doctors to report positive cases. Anybody ever tested positive and received anything from the health department (mail or phone calls)?

She got up and asked what I wanted and I told her to get back down. No problem. Took directions well. Performance was high level and they were enhanced but very well put together.
