The first point is true, and not much you can do other than play as straight as possible and hope for the best on limited time.

As for the latter point, far too true. The first two places I visited, I tipped a little more after I fell for the acting, then hoped to earn future 'goodwill' before I knew anything. The first place I eventually revisited three weeks ago. First provider saw me enter and chatted with new provider while I got ready for table shower. Massage was below average, finish was a gloopy lotion avalanche, and the expected tip was far too high. I tipped based on Jim's guidelines and the grief and final act acting isn't worth dealing with. Not planning on returning as my price 'rep' is apparently higher than the service provided.

I suppose the easiest way to sum it up, is our own rep is earned by our actions. It really is a two-way street.

Of course, there are variations around these amounts depending on a few other variables, but those are pretty much the going rates. From your description it sounds like Candy provided somewhere around the 60-80 level of service.

Northern Virginia, known as NOVA, like suburban MD is a subsection of Washington DC on BP rather than being under VIrginia.

Went back to see my ATF this week on the upper Paris location in Chantilly. I had not been there in a few months, I had tried several other locals but only one had been remotely close to satisfying me.

I called ahead, and the girl on the phone asked if she could call back on this number. I appreciated the gesture. My preferred provider called back to set up a specific time. I had tried to see her and expanded my range when she was unavailable. As I entered, another girl remembered me. My provider has gracious and then some.

The *best* massage I have had, friendly service, and clearly a believer in 'loyalty rewards' for returning customers.

Provider made sure I understood to call or text her cell # directly for appointments. I think I have been reticent to push for that, but the only #s I would have only asked for was hers, and possibly a fine girl over at Cosmos.

100% HE since I tried this hobby, but this was closer to something more sublime.

Left unhappy.

These places are on Old Bridge Road, not Chain Bridge. Happiness depends on who you draw, but probably only about 25% of the time.
