I have not been in Spokane for sometime but was there a couple of nights and hit the strolls. There were far fewer out than my trips in the past.

There were often a few off and on in the boat shop area. Saw a couple in Sprague but not as many as usually. Eventually, did pick one up and had a relatively good time. It is someone I had picked up in the past once.

What surprised me is that I have always had a lot of luck downtown and I did not see one in the two nights I was out looking.

As far as I know (and I admit I do not know everything) there is only Deja Vu in Spokane and it does not have any food. I also know there is a place at Stateline but I have not been there so have no idea about the level of dancing or whether they serve food.

Wow, I have no idea but that would make a lot of sense. I heard from one provider that the reason (a few years ago) that the MPs do not have any problem is that the Mayor frequented them often (I also heard he either did not pay or paid little and was abusive) but he at the same time cracked down on the street action. I have no idea how true all that might be but it does make a certain kind of sense - I also have no idea if you have the same Mayor as you did when I was told that.

Sorry to say I did pay that much for a HJ. I know better but the little head just seemed to be set on it and wouldn't take no for an answer. Like I said, I left feeling quite fucked.
In the meantime I figured out a way to flex our marketing muscle just short of an all out boycott. Where is the place that charges 60/40? If we here on the board and all of the lurkers who don't post will only frequent that place then the gougers will lose a good chunk of revenue. They may even have to lower their ridiculous prices. If we are a significant portion of their customer base then they will have to pay attention.
So where is that 60/40 place??..........LDP

LDP, did you really pay 1.5 for a HJ?! That's why prices are so high in Spokane. You have to be willing to walk if you don't get what you want for the price that you want. For that much money, you should at least get bbbj. I don't like to frequent places that charge more than .6 for the hour door fee, and that should include a TS. I used to pay .6 for the hj, but being on this site showed me the error of my ways. Now, I never pay more than .4. It doesn't seem like much, but that savings builds up over time. I cringe when I think of all the $ I needlessly threw away.

Uh, sorry to go off on a rant there and not tell the story about Far East. Anyway, it was OK in spite of the pricing. Walked in the door and there was a blonde and black girl at the window. Both were very nice but the blonde was pornstarish so I chose her [name escapes me now]. By the way she said she usually works at the Asian spa on Division, same owner? $70/hour and $60/half hour, guess which one I chose. So we got down to business and I made it clear that I wan't going for the $200 grand finale so she offers $120 for a CBJ. I eventually compromised for an $80 HJ which was very nice although I am sitting here feeling like I was the one that got fucked. Maybe I need to find a girlfriend?

If you want to get all Adam Smith on the subject let's go a step farther. Rising demand does spark higher prices temporarily but then they moderate and reach equilibrium at a bit lower level. As demand levels off the suppliers will cut prices to gain advantage over competitors. Weaker competitors will give up and close thus shoring up prices to a stable level.

If prices were to decrease then demand would go up as would volume. The girls would be making a little less per session but more on the increase of volume. Everyone wins.

Ps. Now I know why there are so many SW's in town in the face of heavy LE pressure. Same forces are at work only with higher prices being substituted by increased risk.

That is not how supply and demand works. If there is high demand the price goes up. If there is low demand the price goes down. I have always wondered why prices are so high to. On the West side of the Mountains it is $40 to $60 to get in the door (1/2 or full hour) and about 100 to 120 sometimes 140. When I visit Spokane I don't visit the MP because it is an much or more than using an escort. Might as well do it with more privacy.

If more people just didn't go the prices would drop for sure.

I know what you mean but I also now that this has a lot to do with supply and demand. I know some girls that work in PHX and San Fran, they charge a little less but not much but I also know that they see about 10 customers a day and here in Spokane ville we just don't have that many of us guys going to these places for them to do that volume prices. Another weekend here and I had to try out Far East. Good Grief fellow mongers, how did this crap with the high prices get started in the first place?? Standard price at the amps is $80 + $200. That is outrageous! And the only reason they get it is becasue they can. We need an organized boycot to bring prices into line with Socal, namely $50 + $80/$100. But how do you unring a bell? Any ideas??........LDP

When I referred to the level of talent, I was talking about the SW in that area. I didn't go to Far East this time around. I wanted street action, and despite the fact that the area is ideal for everyone involved (wide two-way streets, good visibility, no houses/apartments, quiet area), there was no quality available.
