Moreso, I was simply reporting the astonishing abundance from which there was to choose Friday afternoon. It was an unusually nice day (sunny, no rain, slightly less heat) and the workers were out in force, compared to how many were out at the same time in the days of the previous weeks.

Some luck helps, too. Traffic makes a difference. The weather makes a big difference. The end of the calendar month motivates some workers to work.

The weather is so clear today that anyone driving Nebraska between noon and 1:30 pm should have had an ample selection of workers. Only one knock-out that I happened across, but plenty of streetwalkers walking the street.
