These sites can go down for all types of reasons.

1. upgrades.

2. site owner power tripping.

3. fear.

4. over load.

5. too many spammers.

5. etc.

Providers will have to adjust to the new normal and use multiple sites. Many are thinking that EB / listcrawler will come back online. I think they are mistaken. There are some recent incidents with many sites being shutdown and an major arrests of a big time person related to JE (JE died in jail last summer) in NH by FBI.
