My bet is that she's going to use it for leverage - not at all a bad move. This is going to be an interesting case to follow - I don't think she's going to sell the list. I think she's going to option it - and then once she signs the deal she can release it to the media for free. That's probably her lawyer's version of a nuclear bomb - and it seems to be keeping the coverage less sensational than it might have been otherwise.
Just because your name is on a client list doesn't mean that you were actually a client. Then again, if you're willing to give up your name and personally identifying information to the madam in the first place, no doubt there is probably a credit card charge, a paypal payment or funny looking cash transactions for someone somewhere to track down and determine culpability.
All of this and it's also an election year? This is going to be a great year for political junkies like me....

The black book is said to contain 10,000 names of people. She has been in running the company since 1992. A long time, and alot of powerful names. I love to see it myself. But its so wrong to release it. A judge has ordered the book to held and she can't sell it of yet.

VALLEJO, Calif.- A federal judge has indefinitely extended an order barring indicted Washington madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey from handing off phone records of her clients or suing her former escorts.
Palfrey, 50, was indicted earlier this month by a federal grand jury on charges of running a high-class call girl ring in the Washington, D.C. area from her Vallejo home. She has denied engaging in prostitution, and has threatened to expose some 10,000 clients from 1993 to 2006.
U.S. District Judge Gladys Kessler in Washington issued an order Thursday prohibiting Palfrey from selling, transferring or destroying any of her business records. Prosecutors had requested the restraining order.
Kessler also formalized her order that Palfrey halt her civil case against 16 former escorts for breach of contract for allegedly having sex with clients, saying, "there are reasonable grounds to believe that harassment of an identified witness exists."
The judge also barred Palfrey from transferring money from her investment and bank accounts, selling her houses in Vallejo and Escondido and profiting from valuable coins seized from her Vallejo home.
Palfrey has hinted that well-known people in Washington were among her clients, but has not named any.

Sure hope none of your names are in Deborah Jeane Palfrey's, the D. C. Madam, little black book. She is accused of running an illegal escort service.
Palfrey announced that to raise money to pay her legal fees that she was going to sell her little black book containing the phone numbers of some 750 clients.
It looks like the court is doing every thing possible to block her from selling her black book. It will be interesting to see how all this plays out. I bet a lot of high-profile people are sweating buckets. lol
