So maybe this is a new tactic. Same girl in the pictures, but one is very obviously a scam:

I gave it a shot because I actually have interacted with this woman in the past, but wasn't able to arrange a meeting. So I decided to give it a shot. It's the "Send me some money so I can book us a room" scam, but get this. Dude straight up asked me to send 40 rupees. I had always suspected some of these scammers were located in India and now we know for sure.

So yeah. We know who the pics were stolen from. I wish I still had her contact info.

Hey, I'll admit to stupidity. I fell for this one hook, line and sinker. I have a weakness for Russian / Ukrainian women and it bit me in the ass. I had a Ukrainian girlfriend (no, not the imaginary kind) when I was younger and having been searching for that perfect f*ck ever since. The service uses the scam of a screening you (first time we need a deposit, next time you won't need to prepay) and they really have it down to a science. Every question has a quick and reasonable answer. I'm not usually so naive, but I thought the service was one I had used awhile ago when touring Russians were more common. I just don't want others to get burned too.

I got burnt once w a deposit years ago and vowed never again. However, the firstbtime I saw dinah she required a small deposit amd under the circumstances at the time I did not feel unreasonable so I took a leap of faith and it was fine.

Anyone asking for a gift card is a scammer, plain and simple. Paying a deposit is a different matter.
