Thank you all for the suggestions and help. I recently finalized my flight plans so now I got several hours between flights. Hopefully JFK has a place to store luggage for a period of time. I agree with you, 3 hours will never work.

3 airports, nearest is LGA and that will take time to get into midtown by train. JfK / Newark may have better train but you are talking about 50 min each way minimum. If you only do 30 minutes at a spa where you manage the time very well, you are back to the airport best case that's already 130 minutes assuming you wasted Zero time. Do you think you can get yourself checked back in and go thru Security in an hour? With Pre-TSA it's possible but sometimes TSA is longer. Any hiccupped in the travel or at the spa due to scheduling or another monger delaying you and you are screwed.

Now if you are going to LGA, you can totally hit Flushing places within 3 hours.
