If you see one of the SW's look like a model, has a big guy close to her. Wait it out, don't jump after it like I did. Someone like that is out to make some money and she will return. Waiting it out, you get to see if she is real or LEO surrounds the car like they did to me. If they do, don't say anything, not a word. Your not getting out of it because everything is recorded. Don't even bang your head and say how stupid I am. Just go with the flow.

I feel for you, the worst part is that cops lie all the time to make an arrest. They will say you offered 200 bucks for a BJ when all you said was "Do you want a ride?" Cops don't give a shit if you are convicted or if the charges are dropped, their goal is to scare you into not going back to the hoe stroll. You NYC city guys are lucky, they don't post pictures in the paper of johns, but out in NJ, they have raids all the time and will definitely post your mugshot for the entire world to see.

In NYC the decoy video's and records all discussions. You cannot compare the police in NYC with NJ cops. NYC has bigger fish to fry than posting petty crimes. NJ cops are retired NYC cops. In NJ, I'll have my photo posted for doing over the speed limit.

I let my guard down about 6 years ago for offering a SW in HP $. Arrested, stayed overnight for booking, they held onto my 6 month old car for 2 months.

Until the ADA finally released it $500.

Spend 8 months going to court.

The only favorites on my side.

1. All of us that were busted in the sting never became famous in the newspaper.

2. My car stayed in the precinct parking lot and never was towed. No towing charges and nothing storing out of my car.

3. I used the court appointed lawyer who was awesome (No Charge).

4. Fine $120, After 6 months stay out of trouble records are sealed.

Total cost $620 for a lesson learned.

Your example is still not entrapment. Basically to be considered entrapment the police must do something that causes you to commit a criminal act you are not normally inclined to commit. And you have to show you are an innocent bystander and not inclined to commit that crime.

You claim entrapment, they counter with you are in an area notorious for prostitution, there are other prostitutes in the area, at 3 am, you live 15 miles away, etc. And if you don't have a good reason to be there the court will infer you were there to commit a crime. If you went around the block more than once (like every monger) it goes to show you were there looking for a SW. If they can show facts that make it look like you were there looking for a SW then entrapment won't fly.

AND. You have to prove what the UC said. The UC may claim that you made the offer. Are you recording? If not the court will likely take the cop's word over yours.

I KNEW IT! I KNEW I WAS RIGHT! Man, did I dodge a bullet that time!! I was over at the point yesterday afternoon when I spotted the two girls hanging on the corner near Barry Street. Right from the start, you could tell that these 'ladies' clearly didn't fit in with the setting at the Point. I rolled up to one of them and looked her over. She was average height, bright complexion, long curly hair and a tight body. The other girl had a similar appearance. That alone was a dead giveaway. When I asked her how much she charges for a BJ, she replied "twenty bucks". Immediately, alarm bells started going off. Not only was it too good to be true, it was too good to be real! For any monger whose been on the streets of NYC for a long enough time, you can spot a red herring a mile away. There is absolutely no way in Hell that a woman who looks that hot is going to charge $20 for a blow when there are girls that charge three times that amount for the same service and don't look half as good. The cops make this way too easy!!

Always trust your instincts guys. If she can pass for a girl window-shopping in Soho, you're dealing with an undercover!
