Would I be correct in assuming that grabbing a cab would be an option?

When I used to be in that area ( a few years back) there were some mp's within walking distance (a mile or so) of that hotel. These places dont last all that long so I would not think the same ones are there. I'll do a few minutes of research for you in the next couple of days and will let you know. The idea of travel by cab on Long Island borders on the absurd. Public transport (bus) is a slight step above absurd but since you are close to the airport may be possible.

I'll be visiting the area on business in a couple of weeks, and have begun reading up on the availability of options in the Ronkonkoma area.

There doesn't seem to be much of anything around. Specifically, I haven't seen any mention of anything available in the greater Islip/MacArthur airport area.(I'll be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn on Veterans Memorial Highway.)

If anyone has a recommendation for a local AMP, I'd be very grateful to hear about it. I don't care if it's FS or not, as long as there are extras available. Recent pricing info would also be greatly appreciated.
