I have seen that happen a number of times over the years, especially with the Korean providers. Sometimes they marry customers, sometimes back in their communities (like Mimi). And I mean really married, not just stay in the US marriages.

Mimi from Sun? With the short haircut? She was definately one of my top 5 AMP experiences. As I posted. Way back.

I've been pretty pleased with my luck at Cy massage in Greenbelt. It's very clean and they have a nice table shower. It's always a roll of the dice who you get but once you find someone you like you can request them the next time until they are gone (which is pretty quick). Also TK across the street has been good but I haven't been there in a while. They have a standing shower. Good luck!

Anyway, the Mimi I am thinking of lived in Dupont Circle and was the first AMP girl that I ever saw outside the room. I remember taking her to Tabard Inn and 18th Street Lounge.

There is a new flotation place on Wisconsin in Bethesda -- "Hope Floats. " But when I visited I was disappointed. No massage, just the tank. That was a while ago, so if anyone wants to give it a try, we would love to hear your report.

Good times. I knew it was only a matter of time before the city got to her. She had a long lucrative run for years. Well, may she RIP.

I was curious to see where Leyla, the owner of H&H, landed after the spa closed, and thought I'd look her up and say hello. Unfortunately, what I found was a legal notice appointing her son as trustee for her estate.

Leyla left us on September 17,2014. She was a nice lady who took a personal interest in her regulars. I never figured out how much she knew about what went on, but she seemed too savvy to be clueless.

For another chance to see her and hear her voice, here's a video of her promoting her coffee sauce. She apparently made a lot of money selling cookies in the 1980's.

New to the DC area, and the AMP game in general. From the looks of this thread, seems like most places are out of business at this point. But if anyone has any recommendations for places that are still open, please pm me.

Thanks, Bunker Buster, for sharing the news about Leyla. I patronized H & H off and on over several years, and I always found Leyla to be friendly and accommodating. Of course, I never told her what happened once the doors were closed.

A couple of providers come to mind when I recall my visits to Leyla's place. One was a Ukrainian gal, whose name eludes me, who gave good massages and even better service after the flip. One day I went back looking for her and found out she'd left. Leyla suggested a South American gal who'd just started working there. While friendly and attractive, she clearly wasn't in the same league.

Some time later I enjoyed a few sessions with a Middle Eastern provider, whose name also eludes me. Our last time together stands out because she ripped off the cover just before mounting me. That was one of the few experiences I've had with BBFS in a setting like that, and I found it to be both delightful and scary. It was delightful because it felt good, and as I recall she enjoyed it as well. But it was also scary since I wonder how many other mongers she serviced in a similar manner. Also, she didn't jump off in time and I occasionally wonder if I've got a kid out there that I don't know about. (That kid, if he or she exists, would now be in high school.) My circumstances changed soon thereafter and I never went back to H & H.

You all are bringing back the memories of H&H like crazy. I was never much into the trashy blond types, but for some reason, had a soft (or should I say hard?) spot for Amanda when she was there. Also was one of the few people who seemed to get along well with Solomon. VERY WELL. Sorry to hear about Layla, since she treated me well.

Wish I had a line of whatever happened to anyone from there. Well the little head does. The pocketbook probably doesn't want me finding out.

There were a dozen great places in town, and ten more decent ones; it wasn't always easy to keep track of girls if they moved around.

If I remember correctly, she was a 7-8 on the civilian scale, unshaved, maybe a few extra pounds.

Dupont on Connecticut had some standouts too, and they had a freestanding sauna in the middle of the hall that was like being in a pod, but was great to warm up in for 10 minutes after the shower. They didn't count the sauna against massage time, so an hour session typically ran 10-15 minutes over because they weren't rushing. Things with Mimi were so good that they slipped over into BBFS. There was also a real Japanese girl there who would give me a quality chiropractic adjustment all around.

She remained opened for over 20 years at two different locations on a prominent DC thoroughfare in an upperscale part of the city. Now you couldn't do that with wall-to-wall hotties attracting lines out the door, and my guess is she knew that (she advertised in the AU student paper). But she also could not have helped but know which of her therapists (remember the white coats for a time?) were popular, and if she liked a long-time customer, what's the harm in making some recommendations, right?

Once the AMPs were run out of town, no doubt some overzealous law enforcer got it into his head to extend justice to upper Wisconsin. Probably not worth it to fight it at that point. I hope she had a peaceful last couple years of her life.
