    Platinum West

Keep updates coming if you can. Girlfriend and I will be in Cola end of Sept during the week and she wants to go. Hopefully flirt with a guy or two and maybe take back to room for her.

    Platinum West

Reopened yesterday. Mask must be worn except at your table. Didn't see couch room but a girl told me not all booths are open and there's plexiglass involved somehow.

Has PW reopened yet, and if so, to what level? GF and I will be in Cola area in July and looking for some fun. Thanks for any info!

Godivas on st marks in Greenville is open but dead as always.

And is even higher at some of the high end clubs.

    Titty Bars Opening Back Up

I'm hearing on the radio that PW will open on May 21. The radio commercial claims they are not charging girls rent either I guess they are desperate for dancers. I'm curious to hear you guys reports on this. Be safe.

Have been a regular at PW this past couple of weeks, there is just no fun in cola what so ever. As pretty much all have stated here, PW is far from what we used to get from the old days at PP. And I have not met any real talent until last night. Met this tall slim white lady last night, young and very pretty face. Opted for a lab dance, and it was prob THE best lab dance I have ever had since the day at PP was over. Def not as good as what you get at PP, but it was very satisfactory given we are in cola. If I remember correctly, her name was Sophie, or Sophia, she where one of those high heels with blinking white light on the bottom which was very easy to recognize. As regular as I am at PW, I have prob only seen her twice, but I am not the weekend crowd either so not sure if she works on the weekend.

And there are two girls there are just bizarre. One is a regular at PW, white, tall, long dark hair skinny (I mean skinny), very pretty face. The other one is also white and skinny, but short, medium length blond hair. This one will prob pitch at you that she just started dancing what so ever. But please do yourself a favor, save money and do not get dances from these two. I do not have beef with them and when I had interaction with them I always keep it respectful. But their lab dances were just. Basically just stand in front of you and dance, no grinding and that sort of stuffs at all.

Thank you, Chuck, for the tip. We have at least one club in Chicagoland that's like that called Carl's in Melrose Park--no known private area. So on my next visit I'll see if I can make it to Reflexxions in Hamer, SC, (if logistically possible)!

Based on prior reports my expectations weren't high in terms of overall value. It was a Tuesday morning, shortly after the doors opened. There was plenty of parking in the club's surface lot. Cover was $3 and there were only 1-2 other patrons and about 3-5 dancers inside. I was on the lookout for any dancers of color, as my preference runs that way, but none were to be found.

I was immediately struck by the smell of stale cigarette smoke and the sight of available ashtrays everywhere--something I hadn't experienced in a strip club since the early 2000's, as my home state of Illinois banned indoor smoking in businesses that serve the public many years ago. It's something to keep in mind if you are a non-smoker and are going home afterwards--you don't want to arouse suspicion (after all, the nose knows, so to speak). In light of my personal schedule I had no such worries, but I wasn't keen on smelling like cigarettes for the balance of my day either. Nevertheless, I trudged along.

I bought a pop (what you all call a "soda") at the bar for three dollars and fifty cents plus a dollar tip and then settled in to get a lay of the land. There's a central stage with two poles, but no one was doing a dance routine at that juncture. A DJ played songs from a booth, likely cut short. There was fancy lighting and ample seating (regular upholstered chairs and small round tables).

After a short period, a dancer named Bristol stopped over to keep me company. She's white, about 5'-7" or 5'-8" or so, very slender / petite build with A cups and, as I was to learn later, very perky nipples. Bristol was a pleasure to talk to, and she gave me the rundown in terms of dance prices and options: as I seem to recall from prior reports, each girl sets her own prices, typically $30/ song, though Bristol said she'd do four songs for $100 if one was looking for a volume deal. Dances take place in a so-called couch room (described below), and, as noted in prior posts, VIP spaces are available for an eye-watering amount of money.

After a bit more talking, in which I learned that Bristol was a Florida native who now lives in South Carolina and that she had worked at Heartbreakers in Columbia before its untimely closure, we agreed to go back for a dance. The couch room was cozy and pretty private (especially during such a slow period for club business) --there were probably 15-20 couches total. Bristol proved to be very talented in her art: the dance was topless and I enjoyed decent mileage. Alas, the big head dictated that I just stick to the one song, so as to minimize financial damage.

Shortly thereafter I returned to my seat, took a last sip of my soda (a Diet Coke which unfortunately had a watered-down taste--something was off with the mix), bid Bristol farewell, and exited the club to once again breathe fresh air.

Overall, I was glad to have visited, even just to obtain material for this report. Total cost was $37.50 ($3 cover, three dollars and fifty cents for soda plus $1 tip, $30 for one dance). NB: I keep having to spell out the cost of the soda because this forum software treats the decimal point as a period.

Pros: expanded operating hours accommodate the lunch crowd; the dancers were physically pretty; cover and non-alcoholic drinks were reasonably priced; private couch area is adequate.

Cons: cost of individual regular topless lap dances way above national average, perhaps indicative of a lack of competition; for non-smokers, the cigarette odor can be overwhelming (and depending on one's domestic situation could make the club a non-starter, though in another forum on this site someone suggested a gym membership and a change of clothes can solve this problem).

Platinum West made for a nice research trip, but I likely won't return when I'm in this area. If possible (that is, if my schedule allows) I would make the drive to another South Carolina city (for example, I was seriously considering driving out to Reflexxions, a primarily black club all the way out in Hamer in the NE part of the state) or even just to Augusta, GA, to experience their offerings, and I can readily understand why some native Columbians (unsure if that's the right demonym) head all the way to ATL to experience some true fun.

    Safe travels!

Can't say for certain, but I was there one afternoon couple months ago, got some high mileage dances from a hot one (can't remember her name). Took a break to cool down and have a few drinks, she ended up taking me upstairs for a tour. Showed me the rooms, about half had dancers / customers in them with the curtains open, they all just sitting there talking. We sat in a room and a hostess came in and very quickly ran through the menu / prices which made my head spin. I apologize for not remembering details, but it was prior to joining this forum, but I do remember it was outrageous, at least for my bank account. Naturally it was very high pressure and even offered to take me to the ATM to get cash (I made this mistake once at the original PP years ago! Big head over-ruled the little one. I declined and we went back down to the main dance floor. Hope this helps!
