Posts: 1351Looking for a meeting place
Hey guys, this is definitely off-topic, but I was hoping someone could make a suggestion for me. A club I belong to is planning on a get together in Vegas next month. It is a very informal gathering -- not like a convention or anything. Members are making their own reservations, mostly around the Hilton, Sahara, Stratosphere area, but some as far away as Fremont Street.
I was hoping that someone might have a suggestion for a good place to meet up the first night (a Friday between maybe 8 and midnight). Since we are all arriving at different times, we were just hoping for a club or restaurant where we could reserve a room and people could arrive as they got into town or were ready. The place should have food and drinks, and the music shouldn't be overpowering. It doesn't have to be a private room, but we'd rather not have to pull together 5 tables with barstools.
There will be 15-20 of us, and we can pay for the room if needed but would prefer someplace that can comp it in exchange for the drinks and food. Any suggestions or leads?
I'll definitely be taking advantage of my time there to do some mongering, and will be happy to report when I get back.

State looking into Briton's missing organs
A British tourist, Boorman, 29, died last summer in Las Vegas because of a drug overdose. When his body was shipped back to England, officials found that Boorman had no internal organs.
The Nevada Funeral Board looked into the allegations that the funeral home, Nevada Funeral Services, lost Boorman's organs...

For those of you who wanted a bit of a diversion/warmup, I've been to the Red Rooster swing club a couple times.
It's way down off Trop, info at vegasredrooster. Single guys are always allowed.
First time there, I wond up nailing this really BBW in front of a crowd of admiring onlookers. I think the later was more fun that the former. That was on a Fri or Sat night
I had a stop for a Tuesday night there once and the place was pretty dead. Couple of way ugs and one chunky chick who was a swing and a miss for me.
Anyway, just a bit of offtopic fun.

I so agree with Normy. Thank You for the old Vegas pictures from the late 1950s to maybe the mid 1980's. To see the Sahara, Landmark, Palace, Dunes and other fine establishments makes me yearn to go find Tony the ant and bury him alive after a good beating.
The first chick by the station wagon is still working at 5th and San Francisco when she escapes the rest home.
Perhaps We should form a Las Vegas Historical Society and work at getting get plaques and statues made for Bugsy, Mo Dalitz, Tony, Lefty and other Vegas founding fathers. A yearly mob dinner with tuxedos , molls and icepicks as well as .38s with stock wrapped in black electricians tape.

That slide show really brought back memories. To coin a C32 phrase: "I remember when" you could park right in front of the casino entrance at the D.I., Sands, Slipper, Dunes, or Riv and get a $20 blow job. Now I have to park across the steet from the Stern for the same service. Those were the days when valet parking was only for the high rollers who could afford not to walk twenty feet.
By the way, I haven't been able to post for the last few days as all those kudos brought tears to my eyes which shorted out my keyboard. Thanks guys! It's great to be back in the saddle again.

To make C.32 homesick (look at the 'Dust and cry yourself to sleep pal) here are some photos of Old Vegas stuff: http://www.whenthemobranvegas.com/slideshow.html
And this is eccentric, maybe even downright weird to make a website about it, but I like it, and I'm allowed to do this about every 100 posts or so (says so in the fine print of the forum rules): http://www.dieiscast.com/gallerycarpet.html

Norman,
Great post as always. It echos my philosophy of "there's no such thing as a bad blow job", only much more eloquantly. Keep the sleaze wisdom comin'!
I guess I need to add to that philosophy "there is such a thing as too many blow jobs!" Sadly, I never realized this until now. That would have been a good one to learn on my own... oh well!
Welcome back from South America!

That was a helluva report. I agree, and I share the same sentiments, being the hourly wage putz that I am. I'd like to think I'd retain that philosophy you so eloquently espoused even were I to win the lotto.
That post elevates you to Wastrel status, to me.

Excellent post! Not only do we share many aspects of the Timeline of Life, we share a basic philosophy on "getting it done".
I have printed out your post and have inserted it as "Part 10: Man's Basic Pursuits" in my copy of Nietzsche's "Beyond Good And Evil".
