Every so often I get the urge to dip my toe in the dating pool and once again try to find someone to be my better half. I'm a decent looking guy in my late 30's, and, to be honest, it gets lonely sometimes not having a special person in my life who I can connect with on all levels while sharing both the good times and the bad. Don't get me wrong, it's great to go out and bang a tight-bodied 22 year old escort, but it definitely feels empty afterwards. So a few weeks ago I joined a popular dating site to try and meet someone.

After a few days of clicking through profiles and emailing a bunch of women, I started talking to a cute girl in her mid 30's. This went on for about a week, and then last Wednesday I suggested we meet-up on Saturday night to ride the High Roller at the Linq and hang out. She said she had never been there and was really excited to go. Everything was looking great at this point.

Saturday morning comes around and I text her to confirm that we're still on for the date. She says 'Yeah', so I tell her that I will buy the tickets online to avoid waiting in a long line on Valentine's weekend. We were set to meet at 7 pm, and I tell her to text me when she arrives. Again, everything seems cool.

I get to the Linq right before 7 and wait by the entrance to the High Roller. About 10 minutes later I decide to text her and let her know where to find me. She replies that she had just gotten up from a nap 10 minutes ago. In my mind I'm instantly irritated, but I give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she just fell asleep and didn't set an alarm. It can happen to anyone. We then get into this back and forth with me trying to be super nice about it and saying that I will just walk around until she gets there. That seems to be the plan until she says that she is hungry and exhausted and doesn't want to drive that far. She then offers to have me drive over to her part of town to have dinner. At this point, I'm getting really fucking irritated that I've already wasted part of my evening but decide to try and salvage it by at least meeting her. That was a mistake.

I get in my car and make my way over to Boca Park. It's about 8:30 now. I text her again asking if she is there. I get a reply that she is on the phone with her mother who, all of a sudden, has heart problems and can't hang up. She then sends me a screenshot of her text message with her mother (I thought she just said she was on the phone and couldn't hang up). Anyway, I decide to tap out at this point, but still try to be somewhat nice about it. I tell her that I wish she would have put in a little more effort to meet and that it was disrespectful of her to act the way she did. That's when she starts going off by calling me a selfish dick and that I should be concerned that she hasn't eaten all day and is tired from working over 50 hrs this week. I think, big fucking deal, I work a lot of hours as well and somehow still managed to make it there and then drove all the way across town to make it even more convenient for her. After going back and forth and being called a selfish dick a few more times, I finally told her she needs mental help and to go fuck yourself.

I mean, if this is what is out there in the world of dating, I am seriously fine with paying for companionship. Paying for sex should absolutely be legal everywhere. You try to be the nice guy and go the extra mile just to meet someone, and this is how these girls treat you. It's a fucking disgrace. They act like they are the center of the universe and are right no matter what. And she herself even confirmed the date in the morning. If she was so exhausted then, why not cancel before making me run all over the fucking place for no reason. I guess I should just be happy that she didn't show up and I dodged a bullet.

Thanks to you all for letting me vent a little bit. Shit just gets old and frustrating. I've attached a few of the text messages so you can see the type of person I was dealing with.

I have an Interesting Idea I would like some feed back guys, I think it's time we get some sort of button or time stamp on our member names. What I mean is I keep seeing First time poster long time lurker type posts I think for all our safety we should have something showing when we actually signed up so we can actually validate the truth sayers from the liars and pimps and potential Leos.

Lots of sites give the poster's join date under the poster's name.

This one is way off topic but I hope I wasn't the only one to see it early wed 3 am around that time I was hunting on the strip I was right at Harrah's OMG tons of Casino / Street girls but they were all not to my liking anyway as I was going to the bus stop I just happen to look up as I always do and Low and be hold I see what looks like at first I thought it was a helicopter but at 3 am they are never out at that time then I thought it must be a drone this is what it did but first off it loooked like a box or a square and on the back side it had all red lights glowing it kind of looked like the backside of the cruiser in the original starwars movie but instead they were all red lights so it stopped over the Mirage and just hovered for like a minute then it did a 180 just like a drone would or could do but what it did next made me to believe it wasn't a Drone it started to move towards north las Vegas and as it got further away it started to head up to the sky and like 30 seconds later it was gone that last second I can barely see it it was way up in the sky then it blinked out PLEASE someone from Vegas tell me you saw the same thing?
