The major problem with Las Vegas is it is overhyped. "Look at this city with all the babes" is kinda the theme on Vegas. But go outside, and you see mostly the trash of society. Read my info on New Zealand. Prostitution is legal, with some rules. The women have to be 18 and have a health check. Massage parlors usually have 2 to 5 girls to choose from, I paid about 100 to 150 NZ full hour. 90% are white. The city newspapers have about a column and a half of ads from moonlighting women. They are housewives, secretaries, teachers, store clerks, realtors, etc. Living expenses are not much lower than in Vegas, but about the same. Much less intrusive government (and they are a military dictatorship) less crime. I could list shit all day that's better in Thailand than the USA.

I lived in Phuket, Patong beach from 2002-2005 I've heard it's changed a lot since 2005. But I'll admit, everything is better to me in S. E. Asia. Attitudes. No egos, etc. Planning moving back real soon.

The current debate is pointless because everyone's viewpoint is relevant to their own life experiences. Everyone has made good points and counterpoints. Those points though should not be generalized and applied as a whole. Not everyone wants to move to the United States or other Western nations, no matter what class level they are in their own society. You have a warped sense of things because you have money. If you were to live as a citizen of those countries and have to grow up in those environments to make money, you would realize how harsh it really is.
