I think I heard there was going to be a small hotel / casino built there, maybe by Stations Casinos group if I recall correctly. I knew www was going to be shut down, but seeing the whole demolition was still kinda surprising, as it's been there for so long. It's one less area for the SWs to work. The other side of the truck lot is also now restricted on the street itself. They have the entire street coned off on both sides and no parking allowed at all. I heard they had too many problems with the SWs and trucks and cars being parked there.

Yup I heard they want to clean up the image around that area. With the No-Tell Motels all along the road, and the lot lizards, with stadium right down the street, they want it cleaned up.

The people that own the land are hoping to build a basketball stadium & hotel on that empty piece of land between the Sahara hotel and the Fontain Bleau and hopefully get the NBA to give Vegas a new team. I don't know if it'll happen any time soon or if they'll have enough funding to complete the project. They've been trying to get it done for years.

Correct, but Phil Ruffin who owns Circus Corcus, Treasure Island, and a lot of the adjacent land including the festival grounds has been working with the A's. The rumor I heard is that he would like to have a baseball stadium at or near the corner of LV Blvd and Sahara, either on the festival grounds or west of them. But unless the state and local government kicks in some cash it's not likely to happen.

The entire CC property is owned by CC hand has not been sold or transferred recently.

I wasn't even aware that Wild Wild West was closing. I stayed there last March. At the time it was the cheapest option near the Strip. It wasn't fancy and it was pretty dated. It was good enough for me. What happened? What is going in that spot? Is it because of road improvements and it would be too hard to get there and get around?

Some of the guys at our sports bar said the large lot in back of the Circus Circus was purchased for the baseball stadium. One guy works at Circus Circus and they are all excited about it.

CC is, was, and forever will be the DUMP of the Las Vegas Strip. There's no way in hell they'd ever get a baseball stadium! My bet is on the new casino and sports themed coliseum that they're going to be building on the north end of the strip. Now with that coming in The Fountaine Bleu and The Strat being fully remodelled and now getting the Atomic Range I can see the north end of the strip is going to be the new shit in 2 or 3 years and will be more popular then the same ole shit the last 10 years!

Last article I read which was last week says the A's are no longer talking to Circus Circus and are only talking with Bally's about the Tropicana location. They are also still in negotiations with the city of Oakland so everything is still just a maybe.

No, they haven't said anything about the Tropicana casino being demolished, but there have been rumors about it being sold and demolished to build the new Oakland As baseball stadium in that spot. There is nothing special or unique about the Trop so I wouldn't be surprised if it gets torn down. Honestly, the best thing about the Trop hotel is the Free Parking.

I went out last night with little hope of finding anything*worthwhile. *Trop*around 1130 pm was pretty deserted and I was surprised by the demolition of WWW and road work. I rolled up Sahara, again slim picking if any. Just a dancing black chick on the corner of LVBD. Made it to Fremont and followed a smoken hot WSW into 6th. Lots of savages, lite crowd usually good hunting. Saw multiple drunk tourists taking pixs with homeless in performers circles, the LEO presence was big which made me feel safe considering the rash of crime lately. I saw them approach several people who were smoking weed. After the interactions the individual would put out the blunt. The first time I saw that. There was good talent -and funny, 2 fat tattooed BBW's WSW together would say shit to passer byes looking for work. Got stuck listening to Spandex Nation by Circa. I watched a hot little blond in a black mini skirt whom seemed to be unable to control her lower half while leaning against the bar. Her impulsive gyrations seemed to over take her. She loved the dancer on the bar and I caught she had no underwear on. On the way back around 2 am I hit the same spots, In the back of the shopping center off Karen there was considerable talent.
