This is why I rarely hit the Vegas streets. Totally random and hit and miss. I used to plan nights, sometimes weekends to cruise and there would be a 90% chance I would find what I want and I'm really, really picky. I would get a hotel within 10 minutes of Trop, definitely not on the strip and have a great night. I'd usually wind up seeing 2 then gamble a bit and if I won anything I'd see another after I've slept for a few hours, usually about 4 or 5 am. Hell there have been times when I found one so damn hot, it didn't matter if I just lost a lot, I'd still see her. I've seen some hot ones that made me return to my hotel after leaving thinking I was heading home, the hotels are usually really good about giving you an extra 30 minutes after checkout time.

The last two times I did that there was nothing out there, I wasted several hours looking but couldn't find anything. Wound up seeing a reasonably priced CG but her rates still were about what I would pay for two SW's. I've got a few that I've met out there that I still see, one is a superstar so I see her consistently. However if I'm feeling like I want a great weekend, I'll get in the car on Sat morning and head to PHX or LA, preferably PHX. Best track on the West Coast IMO.
