I have the worst luck, as the times I see a prospect, (not often since I'm picky), seconds later I see the units close by. The girls are starting to learn the UC cars, as I've seen them quickly ditch when they come around. I lost out on a meet with an amazing prospect when she was stopped and questioned by 2 UC units, and left the scene quickly after, not to be seen again. Also, the regular units are making their presence known by slowly rolling through areas with lights flashing, or posting up where they are very visible. Sometimes they post on the side streets that are used to make laps.

For those of you that do the Trop stroll, and roll past or engage near the 7-11 and / or go through the HD lot, be aware that I have seen units posted, (lights all off), across the street at the park, perched where they can overlook the lot, so sneaky! For those that choose to park for a bit to observe, I've also seen units drive the entire HD lot and totally spotlight every parked car, as well as the lot by the pub, so be aware of that. Also, (not sure on this), there is some sort of unit / device / machine something that I saw being installed on a lamp post across of the BK a while ago, was just reminded of it when I saw the LE post. It is right near the hotel sign. I don't know what it is, but seems odd to me. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Take a look and post your thoughts, as I am curious as to what it may be.

I am not a big contributer to this forum like many of you and I receive much more info than I give but I wanted share that last night I got picked up by MPD and charged with soliciting. Apparently the lady (looked Indian or something I should have known better) standing out by the BK on Tropicana was an undercover and stupid me followed her directions to pull up down by the big semi trucks and Boom got busted. There was another john in the car they picked up too. I was picked up at 1030 pm and didn't get let go out of the detention facility until 6 am. Dirtiest place ever.

I am not a local and I've been mongering for many years. But one poor choice is all takes.

That is all you should EVER say! If she says anything other than Yes and get's in your car respond with "Sorry, I thought you were "Jenny" (or whatever name) and move on. If she's LE you did not solicit. If she's a working SW and stupid enough to start talking about services outside your car it's her loss. I learned this lesson at 19 and spent most of the night in the Detroit city jail, talk about dirty. Yeah I had a bit to drink at the blackjack table at Orleans and started feeling good so then I went out and hit trop. I definitely didn't have my wits about me and there were practically no women out at that time so I should have known better when I saw her. I'm surprised they didn't test me for drinking and driving, but I guess its Vegas and they were fixated on the sting.

I called about 6 attorneys and ended up getting with the Defenders criminal defence lawyers and the guy gave me a deal only $750 (pretrial+trial) because I explained I had no priors and I was from out of state. He highly doubts this will go to trial thus the offer to include trial services in that price (normal is 1500) this firm has a long time excop named David he is solid. Most firms have relationship with the, some attorneys will keep delaying the case until they get the the they like (don't want young ambitious one, sometimes you don't want a female one).

They will seal the record for another $1 k.

Pricing across most firms is similar, many will seal+represent you for $1500-$2000 range.

While nothing is guaranteed generally the consensus is if you have no other history in this arena the case will be dismissed and you may pay a small fine ($250 or more), do some online community service, maybe take an aids awareness class and agree to stay out of trouble until case is closed. The MPD generally has weak evidence against you proving that you were "overt" in nature during the transaction. She may have had a body cam and mic that will get introduced into evidence. I don't remember the specific words exchanged that night but I'm pretty sure I parked and the gal came onto me and I didn't say more than "yeah. ".

If the charge is dismissed you can start sealing within 30 days, although sealing isn't finished until 6 or maybe 9 months at time. Generally the attorneys say 90% of cases are dismissed or settled, of course in the meantime this looks bad for employers doing background checks, etc.

If you don't get it dismissed next option is to try and get it reduced to disorderly conduct or trespass. If this happens then you have to wait 1 year before you can even start sealing the record.

I am not looking forward to explaining this to prospective employers as I'm job searching.

They had a paddy wagon a few streets away and he had to wait for over an hour while they picked up other "johns" to take them down to CCDC. They wouldn't let him bail out until the next day. He described it as the worst night of his life and pure hell.

He retained an attorney and was successful in getting the case dropped, but the arrest was still on his record. Nevada doesn't expunge records. Even if you were found innocent or the case was dropped. He had to hire another attorney to get his record sealed and it still took time before the arrest disappeared from basic Google searches. Said it once and I will say it again. If you guys are local, you all have to do your due diligence. I've given plenty of advice on this matter always always watch the possible UC LEO if she doesn't look like she belongs then just do what the poster said sit back and watch for a few hours and on Trop it doesn't hurt to do some walking get something to eat and just watch you can't be arrested for watching.
