Warning, long review.

Peppermint Hippo, the new strip club where the original OG was located. Now I've heard great things about OG back in the day but sadly I missed my chance to visit. So I was a bit excited so to speak to hear a new strip club is opened. Don't recall how I've heard about this (might be a news article) and searching online yields very limited reviews (there's 1 Yelp review and one from Dr. Strip club) which he's raving about it.

I believe they've been opened since early April so I thought it's time to check out this new club. I arrived on Saturday afternoon around 4 pm as I didn't want to go in when it's too crowded. Pulled up the parking lot and there's quite a few cars but I'm guessing they're workers / dancers. Security guy up front to check I'd and do a quick pat down. No cover for locals but I had to wait what seems like a few minutes as there's no cashier. I wasn't going to be rude and just walk in so I waited and they finally show up to double check my I'd.

As soon as you walked in you'll be greeted with the infamous Hippo, I mean this guy is HUGE! (no pun intended) It's definitely a gimmick but it worked as I had to stop for a second to admire this guy. Once I walk past this giant statue I see the club layout is very opened and high ceiling (like 2 stories) Main and only stage I believe has 3 poles. With small table and regular chairs surrounding it. The outer area are surrounded by more tables and chairs. There's some larger booths on the right side of the main stage and to the left it's the VIP area (with curtains) The men's restroom is just right around the corner as soon as you walk past the cashier.

Quick glance and I noticed there's not a lot of customers or dancers. 3 including myself and probably just 3-5 dancers, nobody on stage. I started walking to the main bar area in the back, now this is a strange as you can't just walk straight up to the bar, there's this "path" where it slowly slopes up, you make a right then you make a left almost like you're waiting in line for something. I suppose they made it so it's wheelchair friendly. Another quick thing I noticed by the bar is there's no chairs so it seems like they don't want anyone to hang out there for too long. The bartender is very sexy and friendly.

I ordered a Corona for $6. After having another one I almost called it quit as there's no activities and nobody approached me. Luckily the cool bartender was able to crack the whip on a few dancers to get on stage. Clarke is first up, she's tall, very short hair, I went up to tip her a few bucks to get the party started. After she was done, she came by the bar to thank me for the tip and introduced herself. We chit chatted a bit before settling down at one of the many tables.

She explained that floor dance is $20/ song on the floor but it's not topless. VIP private booth is $100 for 3 songs and it included 2 drinks. She wasn't sure about the other option and I wasn't interested getting anything beyond VIP. I tested the water with one song and it wasn't anything great but she was cool to hang out with. Eventually I bought her a drink $7 which isn't bad. Next thing you know another dancer (one with the nerdy glasses) came by. I also sampled another dance from her and bought her a drink just to hang out. I went to use the restroom as the coronas are kicking in, I was a bit surprised by a maintenance guy that's still performing work on one of the stalls. I don't recall the exact count but there's at least 3 stalls for #1 and 3 for #2 and 3 sinks I believe.

When I return to the table there's ANOTHER new dancer showed up at the table. LOL Blue Jay is her name, she's beautiful, sexy, and huge set of tits. Bought her a drink as well why not and sampled another song, she's definitely the one I would take to VIP later.

By now I'm fairly buzzed and feeling good as I've lost count how many beers I've had. When went to the restroom again, no joke, another dancer showed up at the table, now there's 4 dancers total. Asian dancer, very cool personality. I sampled another song from her and bought her a drink.

By now the girls were fairly hungry and I suggested we get food delivered. Of course they all like Sushi, who doesn't? And that's what we got. Sometime before the food gets here we all took a shot of patron, not my favorite but whatever. After the food arrived I'm ready to call it quits. We finished most of the food and I've decided to ask Blue Jay for VIP. By now waitresses are actually here so one of them came by and take our drink order. I have to give the waitress the $100 first then she gives the rest to the dancer (not sure how much) the private booth are nice (well they're BRAND NEW) with extremely heavy curtains in front so you get privacy. The 3 songs go by fast I'll say they're fairly nice dance but I'm on the fence if I would get them again.

I hug the girls before I left and as I was leaving I noticed 5 hours flew by. More customers arriving but still not crowded for a Saturday night. I will be back as it seems like a great place to chill and hang out. I wouldn't expect extras here as they're plenty of signs (no joke) that said "prostitution is ILLEGAL" lmao.

Also wanted to point out there's no DJ in the afternoon and their playlist "craps out" a few times there's just SILENCE in the club which is weird.

It sounds like the place is still trying to figure things out. I have NV ID, so it is good to know I can make frequent visits -- no cover. If they are having a good night, I stay; if not, I leave.

It's also nice to know that they are doing table dances (even if not topless). A lot of places stopped doing table dances. At first, it was a COVID thing. Now I think the clubs are holding off on table side dances to push VIP packages, which results in a bigger ticket for the house and dancer to split.

And a lot of clubs charge for entry into the VIP (plus an additional) minimum drink purchase. If at Hippo you get two drinks included with your VIP entry/dance package -- maybe that's not so bad.

BTW.. You mentioned that you missed that era when OG was THE place to go. OG had a good run. But then the "arms race" began. Places like Treasures, Hustler and Crazy Horse III opened. OG was never as nice as those newer clubs.

Seems like vice had one of their blanket raid kinda things they do every now and then to a bunch of clubs. Got a friend that works at Play it again sam's and they were raided and shut down for a day also. With inflation this high even the cops got to make a little extra income. LOL.

I'm sure it's cool. It's new. Shiny new things are always great in vegas. Then the new wears off and business isn't what is expected or prices go up and it just turns into a normal vegas club that could be so much more but doesn't hold a candle to other spots in the country.

The mistake you made is not negotiating what you want prior to going in the VIP. Having a double team is a good thing if you request it prior. In one of my earlier experiences I reacted the same way you did not expecting two dancers. They will keep pushing until you say no. I do allow two now, with Natalia being one of them, but again they know exactly what I'm willing to spend before we start anything.

Ha no mistake on my part. She screwed up. Tried to take advantage of me and she will never see a another dime of my money (nor the club). I frequent adult type places and spend probably a grand a month. Her loss (and the clubs loss) as I will not return.

Was in town for work and hit it on a Monday at 10 pm. SLOW day there. WAY more girls than guys. Best crew never even showed up. They must have had a good weekend. The girls were WAY lower quality than I'd expect. Too many fat girls with ink. Blorf. I think the sugar game has been taking them out of the clubs.

Once I cleared all the fat, inked up skanks from my table I found a nice young lady. 5'8' half black / white girl. Name was jennifer. Sorry bros, I can't even remember her stage name. Depends on your budget. Vegas clubs will cost you WAY more for a smoke show than the south. Never pay them a cent until you talk about what she will let yo do. If you're honest about what you want, they will almost always tell you their limits. I nail girls in clubs quite often. If I don't get full contact and get to do what I want I find another girl.

Best to do a dance to try them out and take them home. Better for you AND the girl, really. You get to have more fun and she keeps more of the cash. Tell her something like 'I don't want you OR me to get in trouble here. '. She will think you're on her side. LOL!

Been getting tired of the lat house scene so decided to check Chicas Bonitas out. Didn't disappoint.

Got there around 11 pm on a Thursday night. Place was jumping. Closest thing to being at the clubs in Tijuana.

Had a couple drinks by the bar for the first hour and didn't participate with anything. Just scoped out the scene seeing who looked like potential prospects. I tested the waters with a 21 year old from Puerto Rico. Paid 25 for 1 song. The dance was average, she didn't do too much teasing but we did LFK for a little bit. She was too business like. What's crazy about the chicas VIP is your sitting knee to knee with other guys doing the same thing as you. I look around and notice some of these girls are going crazy with their dances, high mileage. I figured I could get one of them for a better dance.

It was about 2 am now and I was about to call it a night. One of the baddest girls in there finally comes up to me. Picture Abella Anderson. Body is just like hers and she had a pretty face. She grabbed my junk after about 30 seconds and I knew she'd be a good pick up. Took her to the back right away.

Love that place. People talk shit on that place because many guys like white slender girls. You can find slender girls here, but they aren't the majority. There's plenty of fit attractive women in here. Some fuckin dime pieces can be found on many a night. And if you like ass, it's the land of milk and honey. Plenty of Black and white girls work there, but obviously there are cubans as well. This review is spot on. You can go in on a Friday night and it can be mediocre and not that busy. And you can go in on a Tuesday night sometimes and it's a party atmosphere and you can find some gems that go hard in the paint for a multi song dance. People talk shit on this place, but I think it's because they need to feel like a big baller in a night club and never go inside. Yeah, it's a shithole. But it's an awesome shithole.

Will be in Vegas March 26-28, a Monday to Wednesday for work. I've done Sunday to Tuesday in Vegas before and it wasn't bad. I usually do a little strip club tour at night. Starting off at Chicas Bonitas and then usually going to another club and ending up at the Rhino to finish the night / early morning. I plan on starting off with Chicas both nights and then going to either Palomino or a smaller club like Play It again, then probably will end up at the Rhino as that has been my favorite spot over the years.

So just wanted to get thoughts, opinions, suggestions on where to go, places to avoid, etc. On the current scene in Vegas. Haven't been since pre-pandemic. Thanks for the help.

I don't know, man. I very much enjoy chicas and dive / locals type establishments. However, Play it again Sams has been fairly weak 99% of the times I've given it a shot. I've done afternoons. I've done busy nights. There can be some hidden gems in there, but the VIP area and lap dance area are kinda weak and about as not private as you can get. I've heard little darlings is better these days than it was pre pandemic. The Library (old cheetahs) isn't bad either. Both places are better middle of the road establishments. Both don't serve booze but are all nude. I have it on good authority as long you keep a small bottle on the down low, you can bring some booze in to mix with your cokes at the Library. But yeah, I'd stay away from Sams if you are visiting. Palamino and Chicas are my go too.
