One time I went to family fare to get some groceries. I park next to guy who was sitting in his van with his vehicle on. Some homeless lady walk by in parking lot. Went home didn't think anything about it. Then cops knocked on my door asked if I saw this homeless lady in the family fare parking lot. I said I did see her when I was leaving Family Fare. Well I guess she stole items from store and gave it to the get away Van that I parked next to. Then when I was leaving the Van left at the exact same time. Once I showed them my Family Fare receipt they knew I wasn't part of this criminal group. But it was interested they got my plate from the parking lot cameras. And also got a close up pic of the homeless lady in the parking lot zoom in. Be careful any place that has cameras since these new surveillance cameras can zoom in right into your vehicle.

That's what I'm saying! And to put a shade across the windshield is fine, but it does nothing for the side windows, and also limits you from seeing potential issues of passers by or patrols.

It's starting to look like I need one of the old full size vans from the 70's! Far out man!

Google Drive can be a good way to share and control access to media, because you can add people individually (and remove them as necessary). I use it for this, to share regular movies with friends.

One big, big caveat: you'll want to make sure to loosely compress each file, as a. Zip or. Rar. Because the company (Google) has bots to scan folders for audio / video files, to ensure copyright compliance. If you loosely zip your movies, they'll be excluded from these scans, because they're not media (they're zip files, containing media, which Google doesn't scan.).

There's a compression app (free) called 7 zip that works great, and it lets you compress things as "storage only" so it doesn't take long on the compression or extraction end of things.

To build on this, it may be obvious but I'll say it anyway, you should start a new google account or make sure you're hiding your name, etc. I've had good drives shared with me and then you go in and look at the sharing permissions and can clearly see the full name of the person that shared out the info. Double check your settings and if possible, send yourself a link from an outside account so that you can see how it looks to external users and make sure you're not sharing your personal info.

I tend to enjoy car dates for my part of this hobby life. My favorite place to go for them used to be the Meijer parking lot. I would park toward the last few spots where there were other cars waiting overnight for service at a closed tire shop. If I parked just right then I could stand outside the van with my provider sitting on the floor and go to pound town and not worry.

Then Meijer got the idea of installing those mobile camera pods on the trailers with the crank up tower and the blue flashing lights. Shit!

I have a friend that is a security consultant, and he has installed all sorts of cameras in places you would not think. Places like self-serve car washes, cemeteries, construction sites, and city parks. The technology is incredible, and the cost is lower than ever. Absolutely tiny, with ion batteries and motion activation that let them last for two years in place.

So now I am looking for better go to spots that are easily accessible for me to try. Anyone got good ideas?

Text and email limit quality and / or size, and I'd like to share large decent quality videos, and restrict access to who can see it. At least not something that a search engine might find. I thought about just using google drive but wasn't sure. Thanks in advance.

Stay in your car and park underneath them, the camera can't see through the roof of your car. Plus I always carry a black sun shield for my windshield.
