I've had the same hobby pay-as-you-go flip phone (LOL) and number since 2013. Only got the occasional cold text from one provider, which stopped after I stopped replying to her. I haven't seen a need to change the number or get another phone.

My real (non hobby) phone number was the original landline number when I bought the house in 1990 (phone is now it's a cheap 3 year-old smartphone). Guess I just don't like changes LOL.

This falls into the what's it's worth category. I found this one and we exchanged numbers. I googled her number and sure enough there was one escort ad archived on the internet. It gets better. Agree with the upside that she is grateful and you enjoy the feelings of satisfaction that accompany altruistic acts.

Also agree with the downside, with an additional caution -- before I shared her info with others, she was contacting me frequently, whenever she needed to pay a bill. I liked feeling wanted, but not four times a week. The irony was, I knew at the time that I would regret not being her main regular source of income and she relied on me less, even as I chafed at being her main source of income. As much as I wanted her to be exclusive to me, I knew I couldn't afford her, and it would have been unwise even if I could.

It depends on what you are spending on a room for yourself, but there should be some good deals online. If you want something less costly, there are several chain hotels on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, which is very safe: Hampton Inn, Holiday Express, Red Roof Inn, etc. The strip clubs are also on Michigan Avenue or nearby, in Dearborn and Inkster. If you want the big city high rise hotels, Detroit has those too, especially the casino hotels. This being March in Detroit, there ought to be some price breaks available.
