Uber drivers are people, of course they pick up using the emblems LOL. I'm suprised they stopped you though. They can't charge you with anything.

I'm not sure if it's entirely legal to request extra information, especially if it involves using a personal device. If I had a friend that needed a ride, despite the actions of others, they may argue probable cause to stop you, but in no way should you have to comply in a way to back up your story. I'll double check on this soon, but similar to "sobriety checkpoints", it's actually okay to deny any further compliance because you're not being detained. The down side is LE will eat your time and make you as uncomfortable as possible.
