That is my point -- BDOG is basically Craiglist with ads. Someone posts their opinion on BDOG, you don't know who they are or what they are. There is no history or credibility. My point is that this board has an opportunity serves its members (i.e., those who have invested the time in making it what it is) that those other sites do not.

If you (Stoner) or MeatMan or someone else with respect posts on this board, it is taken seriously. BDOG is like Craiglist is like the old USENET internet. Once all of them got overrun by spammers, it was useless.

This board is not like USENET or CL or others because there is an Administrator and there is a network. It is like eBay. There are lots of unsavory people making a living on eBay, but they have to play by the rules. If someone posts with no history and/or is obviously scamming, it is a non-starter.

The only risk to inviting providers to post on this board is that someone spends a long time faking with enough posts to make it to senior status, then starts posting all kinds of self-promotional crap vis-a-vis BDOG, *and* Jackson does nothing about it. I really don't see that as a realistic concern.

But all this is pissing in the wind for now, as there are no providers posting or even lurking on here. Yes? If there are, please prove me wrong and speak up!

That is precisely what they should be doing and what we should be asking them to do. It is precisely what I did ask a couple of providers to do. What is wrong with that?

If you are on other threads where providers post, it is quite valuable. If bullshiters posts (as they have here -- albeit more so other threads) they get sniffed out immediately. The network behind this site would sniff it out. To have transparency into the provider side would be potentially very valuable, at worst entertaining.

It is virtually impossible for this board or thread to be overrun by pimps or providers or bullshit artists. If that were a risk, it would already be happening. Do you really think that the reason this board isn't overrun with pimps is that they never discovered it?? As opposed to the design of the board and vigilance of members (nonetheless Jackson) keeping it from happening?

For better or worse, I don't think that either one of us will be proven wrong, and that it will be status quo with few or no providers or posting.

But MeatMan did the right thing by suggesting it to a provider. All providers should be recommended to post in the classifieds and to post in classified ads (why shouldn't Jackson make some $$ for his time). They should also be able to post like anyone else -- if they spam or bullshit or break protocol they're going to get bumped like anyone else.

...that having providers to post here will bring about the demise of this board as a quality resource. BG, CM, Friendly, Stoner and PB are right - the nature of competition between providers, and the broad range of provider types that would end up posting here would create chaos, just as is the case on CL. Since there's no way to easily screen provider posts, it would become a total waste of bandwidth and storage space.

USASG works well as an information exchange medium, a place for mongers to share just enough info to optimize their "hobbying." I'm wondering if the group who uses USASG would go so far as to recommend to Jackson that he delete the classified ad threads?

I don't post here much. Stay busy enough in other areas, but I do visit often and appreciate the help that I have recieved here from time to time. BG has stated some very important issues and just want to second the motion...caution, wisdom, experience, PM and back channelling, etc. A couple of girls mentioned here are close by, well priced, and maybe worth a try, but because she posted the location of her incall, and many times. I gave her a call at 3PM this afternoon. There was no answer from her phone, but I did leave a message asking about what she charges for her services. At around 5:00PM, she returned my call.
