Authorities can't convict you based on you saying "this girl charges $300 for sex" or even that you paid that much for sex. It's not solicitation, it's just an after the fact report. And there's strong legal precedent against them being able to link a person to web activity anyway.

I have run into one or two that figured out I was using a VOIP number. If that is their policy I move to the next one. I am not giving them my real number. We take too much risk when we do that. I don't trust any of them that well. Even if you can trust them, if they get busted then LEO has your contact on their phone.

Ahhhh. The answer is in your own post and goes back to my fear. If they get your information off the girl's phone along with your messages you are cooked. If you are using a burner phone that can't be traced they don't know who you are. All the more reason to use a burner phone or an app. It sounds like to me that the phone wasn't traced. That is true but don't they have to know what phone they are tracking? Seems like a lot of trouble to get someone for a misdemeanor offense. The biggest thing is your real number isn't stored on a provider's phone where they can get it and find out who you are that way. If LEO gets into a provider's phone and they can see the messages you have sent them they have evidence. That is the biggest thing to worry about. I don't know if they would go to the trouble of tracking your phone just for buying a blowjob.
