Went on a cruise Thursday evening after dark. Pretty slow out. Be careful. Undercovers are sitting in unmarked cars watching activity behind the strip clubs. Be aware of your surroundings. You're getting a room in a hotel on a boulevard that is quite literally overrun by drug addicts, prostitutes, pimps and drug dealers. By the very nature of that, it is dangerous. However, don't look and act like a fool and you'll probably be okay.

I've spent some time in the Super before, and it's not too bad given how big it is. You do have to pass by women hanging around at the entrance sometimes. And less often, some thugs, too. When I've been there, there have been a couple thuggish guys in the hallway, watching. I had my gun on me and was bigger than them so I wasn't hugely concerned.

Regarding hotels on. FIB, the Super seems one of the most tame. Second only to the Quality Inn which is recently reopened after a fire (I think) shut it down for a while. Quality Inn was very nice and had the normal hotel vibe.

Red Roof, Knights Inn and A2 C are all cesspools, with A2 C striking me as the most ghetto. There's a lot of crack and heroin going in and out of those places. All three of those hotels get a lot of traffic, but they're also large so it makes sense.

Airway is about the same, but it's small and tame. It's literally full of hookers and dealers. I do bum off their WiFi though, and it's relatively quiet given the obvious activity. Management is on top of their game there, so they usually don't deal with nonsense.
