Lap dances are now illegal on Oahu, isn't that the current situation? But if so, here's what I'm wondering about: I mean, what goes on in the AMPs is mostly illegal too, yet this scene continues to flourish big-time. So, doesn't it seem logical, if there's a demand for lap dances, that somewhere in some under-the-radar venue in Honolulu, clandestine style, there's lap dances still being offered?

Went to Femme Nu with some friends visiting from out of town. Just got to Femme Nu, literally walked through the door and trying to get some beers. The club is popping yo! Its packed full of girls and customers. Its a Saturday night so it should be be bumpin right? I remember the vibe of Wild Horse, back when it was open, as being entirely different. Don't know if you knew, or remember, but it was non-alcoholic and the cover was pretty steep (I think $14). The place was a dump chairs that were recycled from a theater (very well might have been an adult theater), but the thing it had going for it were lap dances (the club brought them to Hawaii) and porn star features. The thing is, I don't remember kids being dumb and fighting. In fact, I tend to remember the clientele being a little older.

But then again, Femme Nu Rock-Za and Club Rose would let you in if you were 18 back then, you just couldn't drink.
