One of the reasons why it was better "back in the day" was because guys were spending money. Guys were tipping, buying drinks, buying lap dances. Places like Femme Nu, Rock Za, Club Rose (where 939 is now) were SRO, even on weeknights. One thing that keeps on going unsaid for those clubs, especially Fantasy Island, was the number of dancers from out of state who came in to dance.

So you have some young girl from Washington of Oregon or Cali who knew they could make good money dancing in Hawaii, why wouldn't they come here? And who cares if Hawaii is more expensive? You're making $400 a night on a slow night, who cares?

But now, everything's changed. Money's dried up. Dancers are not charities so they stop coming here. And the girls that remain are fighting over the dwindling number of guys who go to clubs and have money. It's not uncommon these days for there to be more dancers in a club than customers.

This isn't taking into account girls who would have gone into dancing but who have an * account, or just pack up and move from Hawaii, so that accounts for where the local talent went to.

Not worth it. Back in the day it was worth it & 20 a song. You going to a strip club to drink tip the girls & a lap dance spending that kind of money better off going to a AMP / MP.
