IIRC the taxis preceded the AMP, as far as I recall even back in the New Asia days the cab station was there. At one point (and maybe to this day-I don't frequent there anymore) the taxis would bring them a steady stream of customers, especially at night.

Wait, what's "King's"? I don't recall ever hearing about the place. And a search brings up WAY too many hits for "king".
