From what I learned, charging you more is not illegal. It is illegal to not tell you there is a fee but charge it in the State of Florida. It was never illegal but it used to be a violation on the terms of service for Visa / MC / Amex to charge a fee but that is gone now. My apartment complex 10 years ago started charging a fee to pay by CC and I dug into it deep then. FYI, the clerk of courts in my county charge extra % to pay property tax on a CC. Gas stations no longer have to say Cash Discount for the cash price and you will notice many don't anymore.

Gas Stations still do this (not many, but in some rural areas, it's a little more common), and my understanding is that the way they do so while complying with the law is to charge a fixed price for goods / services. . . And then give you a DISCOUNT for cash! Technically, this is not charging MORE for CC use, although that's the net effect.

The "mistake" an AMP would be making would be to actually TELL you the extra cost is a "fee" associated with CC use. . . Which, if they are in the practice of trying to recover their CC expenses, I'm sure they do.

I think your problem here is that you can't just "go to Osaka" and have a good time. With Osaka, it's not about the place, it's about the girl. For instance, if Yumi is working, you will have a great time. Also, Tampa Bay spas HATE credit cards because they have to pay taxes on that.
