I generally agree with Ttxx1 on all counts, as I have participated in both the Tampa Bay area market and the Orlando market. I have a couple of additional thoughts as well.

If you're in Tampa and going to drive to Orlando, plan for 10 to 30+ minute freeway delays along I-4 any time during the day anywhere between Exit 55 and the far side of downtown (say around Exit 85+). It's a royal pain in the butt. The delays seem to be either around the Disney exits or the downtown (construction) areas, but not for that entire distance. Perhaps multiple areas of 1 to 5 miles at a stretch.

Shangri-La and Kissimmee Massage Spa (KMS) operate without benefit of a Mamasan / manager or adequate staff to manage the front desk. The result is that your attendant will constantly be looking at the security monitor they have mounted in every massage room, and she will have to run out to greet newcomers, even if she's in the middle of an intense activity. Given the extremely high level of service accurately described by Ttxx1, a lot of guys tolerate this. Personally, it's the one reason I won't go back to either place unless I'm desperate (or become foolishly curious, which is known to happen).

I went for sheer curiosity. I paid for the simple massage. I was told that there is a cafe in the back. There was a male attendant there. This is the one on Hillsborough and 41.

Thanks TPAMonger! Good complete info on the "Shops" all in one place. I, personally, don't favor the American cuisine of the mentioned establishments, but a lot of gentlemen do, and it makes for reasonable inclusion in any "Out Of Towner" summary. While Tampa's Han River is pretty darned good, I don't like the limited and congested parking, but that's just me. Momo is the ultimate star at HR, in my opinion.

I find equally good talent and accommodations at Spa36 on Himes road right off I-275, and Crystal Spa on Kennedy Blvd, both with adequate parking. Other places seem to enjoy fewer reports, so there's more of a risk you might be TOFTT (Orange Spa, Yoshiko, Venus).

In the Tampa Bay area, Table Showers are available at most places outside the city limits. This would be anywhere in St. Pete and surrounding cities among the vast number of AMP's operating in Pinellas County. I'm not in that area a lot, but I believe the quality of service may not quite measure up to those Tampa places noted above and not at all close to the 3 noted in Orlando. From my limited travels in Pinellas County, I find Palace Spa, way up in Palm Harbor, to be on par with Han River, Spa36, and Crystal Spa. There are probably some others, but I just haven't been to those places.

We have 0 AMPs in my area and the strip clubs suck. I plan on spending a substantial amount of time and cash in both the strip clubs and massage parlors in Tampa Sarasota Clearwater. As for AMPs, quality is MASSIVELY down in Tampa. Go to Orlando and be blown away if you have the time. The one place in Orlando that comes very close to Shangri-La and KMS, although with slightly more variability in service from one girl to the next, is U_Massage on Vineland just west of Kirkman. Good parking, very similar service, no security cameras in rooms, and you get the full attention of your attendant the entire time.

In Tampa, the City Bath House Ordinance, passed last year, prohibits any AMP within the city limits of Tampa from offering an assisted shower of any kind without additional permits (which none have been able to acquire as far as I know). The result is that Table Showers have been converted into (very large) Standing Showers and are self-service only. Still a good idea to avail yourself of that shower and make sure you run a soapy finger all over the crevices of your backside and generously lather your tools to make sure you're clean and tasty. If you get any assistance with the shower, the shop is in violation of this ordinance.
