Just moved to the area and looking forward to being a part of this board. Anyone try Asia Moon "very friendly" listed in the OW under massage? Is it an amp or independent? Or even worth our time? I can never seem to get anyone to answer when I call.

I share in your affinity for private providers. I've never felt comfortable with the AMP scene. PM me if you'd like some references from the OW, but be forwarned that all of my recent providers are mature 40-50s. I would love to find a 20-30s year old private provider - but have had no recent luck - so if anyone has a positive experience they can pass on via PM I'd appreciate it.

I agree with a lot of what you say. If nothing else, the variety would be nice. With non-Asian girls, you at least have a shot at getting a pair of decent-sized naturals (which is totally impossible at an AMP). The problem I have is that the OW indy ads are hard for me to decipher - what's offered, what's not, how much? As you say, the drill is pretty standard at an AMP. Any advice on key words to look for in indy ads?

In my experiences with the Orlando Weekly, I've found that simply calling is the best thing to do. If a girl answers, I'll first ask where she is located (2 outta 3 will tell you a hotel on I-Drive) I stay away from those, only because the 35-40 minute drive is simply not worth it to me. I'll usually just tell those ones they are too far outta my way and end the call. If they are reasonably close, I'll then ask how much for a massage, if they respond with $, you'll know you've scored.

The two providers I visited were in listed in the Weekly as Andrea and the other was Diane. Andrea was a 40ish italian gal who was a little big boned, but was very skilled at handshaking. I visited her twice and then noticed she was not listed anymore in the Weekly.

Diane was also late 30's early 40's but a much nicer figure. She was not as attentive when it came to handshaking, and she had a real problem with talking too much which can ruin the experience. She too is no longer listed in the Weekly.

I do make a point of picking up a printed copy of the Weekly rather than just checking the website because there are many more adds in the print copy. Another benefit is that independents will likely let you visit late, after all the AMPs have closed.

Agreed. I'd very much appreciate a "regular" American girl that wasn't $$ or $$$/hr. Up north (Cleveland) we had a cool site - Tailfin's Hole In The Wall - Which catered to that type of provider.

Members are screened & it was $100/lifetime membership (Mostly just to weed out the crazies with no jobs, etc). They have their own private reviews, etc..

Hell, maybe it's time to set up a server dedicated to Orlando. Non profit. Anyone have bandwidth to spare? ;-)

The AMP is very reliable situation in which both provider and customer know the protocol. The massage and TS enhance the experience so you really get a great all around service. However the language barrier can sometimes create miscommunications and the AMP can get kind of boring.

An independent provider can be a great because the girls usually are more likely to get cozy with you and not be so mechanical. The message is usually laughable if one is given at all. For a true handshake connoisseur however it's really nice to have a good ole american gal really get into it and take some instruction rather than what you typically get at an AMP.

Any thoughts or providers worth mentioning?

On the other hand, I stopped by LOA (?) on 17-92 between 436 & 434. Massage was actually so good I didn't think there'd be a handshake. I was incorrect in my assumption & it actually ended up being a fairly decent one. I didn't ask for more, but it didn't seem like there was anything else was going on. Hell, there wasn't even a negotiation on the handshake, she just started going at it.

Pleasant surprises are always welcome for us north-enders.

Had a new, for me, approach at a local amp. After the flip and about half way through the front massage, she placed my hand on my ding dong, I removed it and replaced it with her hand. She proced with the handshake while I asked for more, but she only shook her head no. Comments?

Took my maiden voyage here today. Big Surf,s report was right on target. They have a thing for appointments unlike most amps so call first. I only saw the one girl who took care of me but she was better looking and younger than most places. I would probably rate it the same as Toyoko in that both were good technique no haggle handshakes. My wandering hands were not discouraged but the goods are covered too much for any wettness testing. Both places were very enjoyable but left feeling no other extras were available. Since my last post, I've visited Asahi twice, Shinn Inn Twice, and the new place on east colonial (just east of 436) twice.

Asahi
Location is secluded and the interior is actually quite nice, however be sure to mapquest this place before heading out. The therapists there are usually mid to late 30's and rate about a 6 outta 10 on average. Messages are very good, TS average, and the handshake pretty mechanical. They are open late and appointments don't seem to be necessary. No haggling over tips, they seem to be fine with whatever you throw their way. Overall Grade: B-

Shinn Inn
Easy to find and has rear parking. Both my experiences here were before 4pm and I must say the girls are by far the most attractive in O-town. Late 20's to early 30's and not a single dog amongst them. The message is average, TS is very nice, and the handshake above average. No haggling over tips, and an appointment is preferred. Just showing up without an appt. more often than not will result in you having to wait or come back the next day.
Overall Grade: A

Asian Massage (east colonial)
Location is easy to find, however parking is just yards from colonial and not secluded at all. I mention this because I have a fairly recognizable vehicle to those who know me (might not be cool for a co-worker or family member to see it parked out front The therapists are not very impressive. Late 30's to early 40's and havent seen anyone that stood out. Massage is average, TS is average, and handshake pretty mechanical. There is a haggle over tips which is a huge turnoff for me because if they don't get what they wan't their attitude quickly changes as if now they are performing a chore. I only visited this place a second time because of how close to home it is located.
Overall Grade: C

All the places mentioned above charge the standard for massage:

$60 for 1/2 hr
$80 for an hr.

I've learned that the half hr is all you need. I usually show up with $ which leaves me a $40 tip, works well.

Went to Asahi last week. Saw Kim. Below avg in looks and a bit of an attitude. Asked up front how much I wanted to spend. OK TS. Below avg massage. And finished with lousy handshake. Damage. 80 and 40. Wouldn't have left the 40 had I not mentioned it up front. Might return if I can get a different girl.

I recently decided to give AMP's a chance. I've never been to 1 before.

The one on sand lake/obt seems to one of the few in south orlando, so off I went. I've gone twice in the past 3 weeks now. Both trips were pretty much the same. Good table shower and good massage. Left happy both times, nothing special, but it was nice. 0.8 for the house and 0.4 tip. From what I read on here that's pretty standard.

The first provider was in here 30's I'd say and the 2nd was probably a little older.

I may try another establishment on the northern part of town and hopefully find someone younger. I'm not sure if I have the option of picking who I wanted. Each time, the lady just got up and lead me back. Never really had the chance to chose.

I have decided I prefer the massage experience to the SW or escort scene. The first is just too damn dangerous and the second is just too damn expensive

Went to an AMP named after a large Japanese city a few weeks ago and got treated very nicely with a shower and massage and handshake. Girl didn't even ask for a tip and was pleased with the $30 I gave her before leaving.
