Has anyone ever received a mailer from any of these AMPs. Appearantly my ex wife received one forwarded to her brothers house where she now lives. I've never given my address to an AMP before. And would have no idea how they'd get my address. Now granted I'm taking her at her word this happened. During our divorce she found out I had gone to a few of these places due to stupidity on my part and ease of access of using a credit card. And yes I already called myself stupid so please guys no lecture. Even still I can't see how these places would get my address from using a card. 2 ndly it's been a year since I moved out and now I get a mailer? That's why I wanted to ask if anyone had either heard of this or received one. The only think I can think of is it's junk mail from massage envy or one of the reputable ones. And yes again I know I was stupid for using a card. And if anyone else is using a card and your think you might ever get a divorce stop. Learn from my mistake.

I agree with your conclusion and most of what the other guys are saying: She almost certainly got or saw a flyer from a legit place and decided to use that to fuck with you, whether or not she knew it was legit.

I also agree that it's very unlikely that any AMP would get your address from a credit card and send you anything. But to say that there's no way that they could? Really? Most CCs I've seen have people's names on them. Once you have someone's name, it's really really easy to get an address. Most people with CCs aren't masking their identity or their real address.

If you use a CC that isn't stolen and used for a bunch of other shit, if you use one ONCE at a place, you can sort of maybe deny it? If you use one more than once at a similar place, not so much. Three times or more, and any divorce lawyer who does their homework will likely have you by the short and curlys.

It might seem like silly paranoia to some, but I even power down my phone while I'm at least a mile away from a stress relief appointment. I'm not 100% sure if it would prevent location tracking, but at the very least it prevents hearing a ring, air vibration and gives plausible deniability that my battery died if questioned by SO.

That's the funny things all cards have been cancelled since the divorce and I've gone to strictly cash, when I do get a chance to go. And yes thank you getting away from the toxic shit was hard. And on the flip side it's the toxic shit from her that helped drive me to become a hobbyist.

Personally, I think your ex is pulling your chain. I've been in the hobby a long time and I don't like to think about the money I've spent and I've never witnessed any behavior from a Chinese shop, Korean or even Russian (missing Lana) shops that convince me this was even possible.

I've even taken girlfriends to one place in particular and if I took a different girl from before, not only were they cool about it by not mentioning the other girl, they even acted like it was my first time there.

These places deal with angry housewives and girlfriends via phone calls and walking in and they're masters at playing dumb.

Lastly, I don't mean this the wrong way, but most of these shop owners would have to have help to pull off sending mailers and it probably wouldn't be free. All the reason to not believe this because most of them hate to spend money like this.

So if your ex got a mailer, it's probably from a new local start up that's not of the persuasion of the places we frequent anyway.

It really would not surprise me that she fucking with me. I also figure it's a new startup legit place and she just automatically goes into assumings it's something it isn't.
