You do not become a moderator simply by starting a new thread. Forums are rarely member supervised. There's Moderators, super moderators, and admins on many sites. Here just Admins.

If you start a thread you have limited admin rights on that thread. You can delete any post on that thread. You are also listed as the admin of that thread.

I just saw a post by A2 about this recently where he said posts could be edited for 1 hour after posting. Now if you start a new thread where you are the moderator that may be different. You should send A2 a PM about this or read the posting guidelines, I'm sure it's in there somewhere.

Posts can be edited for only 15 minutes or so. After that you'll need to contact Admin. Not sure if regular members can edit at all.

A Cautionary Tale.

I just posted information on a really great girl I used to see that retired. She sent out a bunch of emails to some former clients but mine was different because she was apologizing for missing our last get together right before her retirement. She doesn't want her name searchable on any of these sites because of personal issues / it's complicated / she will tell you if you meet her. She told me all this when I saw her recently. I am desperately trying to remove / edit the post I made. I would never have thought just putting a name out there could hurt anyone, but here we are. Trying to get the post removed or edited.
