When I lived in LA, I would go for a month at a time. I was getting RT flights on HK air for $475 (12 hours). Haven't seen that yet but I'll try to find them tonight just to see it. When I booked flights it was 24 hours which was the shortest time, then they changed the Helsinki flight to Bangkok 10 hours later, did the same thing on the return. It was significantly cheaper going east to west than west to east. At the time it was 48 hours through Japan. Qatar was about the same cost and time but had no free cancellations. Some was kind of difficult in the beginning but google translations and pointing works. I did have a private guide for a few of the temples and other attractions. Having a English speaking escort really helped especially with the street food and figuring out prices.

As for flying there isn't really a good route to go by, The good side about Covid every flight except going to Miami I had a empty 3 seater. Both flights to Helsinki and Bangkok was half full. So after being tired of all of the scams out there on most of the major sites and being scammed out of 160 roses myself I've decided to pursue some more unconventional routes and share my experiences so far and see if any of why'all have any successes from any unconventional methods.
