Hello Mongers!

I think that's a common practice for them to run plate for valid registration etc. I got booted at an ohare parking lot a few years back. Think about it from a Cops perspective, if you want to make random properties out with warrents a motel parking lot is a good place. Think about how many non hobby related arrests they make doing that.

It is common practice for them to do this, but I do have to question whether it's an infringement when done on private property; an O'Hare lot is public property.

I'm a little torn posting this because there is some speculation on my part. I'll leave it to you to make your own decisions. Had a visit with one of my favorite providers awhile back. When we were finishing up she was telling me she had been busted at the very motel we were at. Needless to say my radar went up. She was popped for a failure to appear warrant from a DUI arrest. Said that LE had ran her plates from her car parked in the parking lot. They came up and got her in the room, but with no client.

Here's my concern. Why was LE running plates at this place? Is this just a random practice, or something more? Doesn't really matter to me. I won't be visiting this location anymore. Why take the risk? Location is just off 147th and Sibley, east of the Bishop Ford. Don't know if I can post the actual name of the establishment. PM me for that if you want. I won't drop her name here or in a PM so don't ask. She is a sweetie, not too smart IMO to be working the same location, but a sweetie none the less and I don't want to hurt her business. Just thought I'd share the experience. Do with it as you will.
