I was doing "research " has anyone used https://utopiaguide.pl/forums ? Seems to be a new discussion board with a more modern format. Want to see if it's legit or a scam or even worse a honeypot for our diligent L. E? Any thoughs?

Thanks for the StubHub tip. I'll keep my eye on it. Got mentally ripped off by TicketMaster for the last concert I saw. Paid $75, $40 at the door. Great show, but I've been wary since.

Hello gentlemen, I will be in downtown Chicago for a couple of nights this week, staying along Columbus just north of the river. It looks like there are a couple of AMPs in the area that might be decent options, but they seem to close by 8:30 PM, and most of my free time will be later in the evening.

Any suggestions for providers or MPs in the area available later? In all my visits to Chicago I've always found it much more difficult to find MPs or providers than in other cities, so I would appreciate any tips or recommendations. Apologies if this is an FAQ or posted in the wrong forum. Thanks!

Stubhub It's a fan to fan ticket buy / sell site. Nobody scalps seats anymore. Most of those that scalp seats are selling you fake tickets.

Because when that snow flies the current administration know that there will be a windstorm of negativity if they kept them out there. What you are suggesting is the right way to do it, however not going to happen down there. Those admins and elected officials need those fat checks from us tax payers. Doing what you suggest would take from that. Sometimes when I go into the loop I come down madison from say cicero in. Every other building on both sides of madison is abandoned or a cleared lot. I lived at crawford (the new pulaski) and gladys which runs parallel with madison a bit south. We were there in the early 60's late 50's. Now in 2023 nothing has changed! Again the city is interested in revenue and revenue only! Entertainment taxes! Galore with the new bally's and all that will surround it. It's the conventioneer, the suburbante, the vacationer from all over the world that they want to bilk! They do not care about the migrants or the hoods where it is really just as bad as it was when the king riots happened in the 60's! One of the main reasons I sold! Stosh rant done thank you.

I forget sometimes (forgive me because I am elderly) if I posted something like this, however when I bought in the west loop (long gone now thankfully) mid 2000's I did a lot of what I now refer to as "sucker work". Just picture a room with block club members from the hood being feted and caressed by white shirt cpd, gold hats as well as aldermen and women with 20 k watches and nice designer clothing telling YOU what to do for free while they make an alderman's salary as well as a partner in a law firm doing business with the city. And can not even show up to shovel manure around trees for a big event that they show up to do a quick photo op and on to their next big photo op! The city does not care about these people one bit! What I did learn though as a take away from all of my volunteer work (lots of time and money BTW) is that people that are on the street are on the street by choice in most but rare cases. Another thing an insider with the county told me (he's a cool mexican guy ex marine vet that does interpreting work at 26th & cal) is that prosecutors that have an axe to grind with a particular person or entity will tell these imigrants look we don't want you, we want him or her or them! Now do what we tell you and we will make you legal, give you a nice crib, nice ride, phones, glimmeriing nails, designer clothes. That is the way it do work, folks. Sad but true! Now as far as me I give no cash! I'll hand them a bottle of sealed ice cold water, hand sanitizer or a sealed bag of cookies or cakes, however no I will not hand them cash! Did my share. Don't regret it but just sayin. I kept seeing the same 10 faces at all of the cap, dac and community meetings and events I went to and that totaled into the 100's! Nuf. Stosh out.

I think selling sodas and water all day at intersections seems like unfun lousy work, and I'd rather have a lesser car and not have to do that work, than a nice car and have to do that work, so I'm not mad.
