Litigating will easily cost 10 or 20 times as much counting atty fees, lost time, etc. plus epic delays and immeasurable frustration.... for what? Ask your atty what the % of success will be. Prob not good.

If I were in your shoes, I'd forget about it and move on. And never return.

Regarding the expensive glasses, I'm with Jannisary and Two Blue, all I take is cash, my driver license and a cheap watch.

Jannisary has laid out a lot of very good advice. I seem to always do better when I hang for a few moments to let my eyes adjust to the dark and see who appears to be a trolling shark. My general rule that I adhere too is simple, never show anything more than I care to loose. Plus, I carry in anything I don’t want broken, stolen, lost or held in evidence in any future criminal cases I may be walking into.

No phones, no house keys, no credit cards-debit cards, rings, watches or necklaces. All that stuff you wear to impress the hot soccer-mom at the local dance club gets left in the car. I only take in my driver’s license and cash. Beer money in one pocket, ones to tip for music or table dances, any serious “extras” money in a back pocket being held down by my rear-end.

Some guys are afraid to leave the goods in the car to keep it from being stolen from there. But if you don’t hide your car out-of-site, most clubs have more security on your car then your pocket.

The five for four deal was the trap. Con artists use your own greed against you. You're better off taking your time and finding a good dancer and paying full price for the songs than making a quick deal.

Sure they might take your statement, they may even tell you they'll look into it, but its going to be referred to the local Brooklyn police. The Brooklyn police are better and take their job much more seriously than they did ten years ago but there is little they can do either. They can take your statement and perhaps photograph and document your injuries. They can question the dancer, bartender, and manager but unless one of them openly admits to what happens or clearly backs up your story...

Hayley Bop's comment about the camera is informative. But in this case the film footage would be up for interpretation. The dancer could say "yeah i took his glasses cause he wouldn't pay me!....sorry but i just wanted my money." The bartender and manager might actually think that is what happened.

If you feel strongly about it then don't let me dissuade you from pursuing it. My suggestion is contact PT's about the incident.

I believe you. It sounds just exactly like what a thief would pull. I thank you for the warning. I haven't been to ESL area in years but might be sent for work soon. I've been paying attention to this forum for that reason.

This isn't the only negativity I've heard about Roxy's since I started asking around a few weeks ago. And possibly others are right in saying the other girls and management believed the dancer that hassled you. Their mistake, but people can only be fooled for a while. Sadly, this will hurt the club and therefore all the girls until things turn around.

I have to agree I think you should let it go and learn from the experience. Like the saying goes, hope for the best, prepare for the worst. You need to go prepared. I go to different clubs for different reasons. When I used to run ESL I was there to drink, party, and pay for sex with no strings attached. I have a system for these types of clubs. I always park my bike or car so I have a clear exit path and can sprint away full throttle. I wear garage sale or Walmart jeans and T's, I carry my twenties in my back pocket in a clip wrapped in a rubber band so the clip doesn't slide out of the pocket easily, and keep ones in my front pocket. Easy enough for me to get the cash but hard to steal.

I started this after something very similar to what you describe happened to me. Twenty odd years ago I walked into a new place that offered the usual lap and couch dances you see now, but also a small dance floor to use with the girls. I'the never seen this before and asked about it. One took me to that floor and proceded to begin her grind, then her friend came up behind me and started in as well. They were sliding their hands under my shirt, and grabbing my crotch and ass, when I felt a tug on the jeans and turned to find my wallet in the dainty hand of the dancer that was behind me. I grabbed her wrist and she immediately screamed "He's refusing to pay". These are just my suggestions. In fairness I very rarely have any trouble in any of these places, but then once is all it takes isn't it? I would also suggest you check into Wal Mart glasses if you party often. They have stuff that looks O. K. For less than $150. Still a lot to lose, but had you walked away from those you would have been out the cost but hopefully after having gotten some use from them and the dancer would still not have any cash in her pocket. It sounds to me like you are now out 60 bucks and change anyway, and the dancer gets to spend it. If she's going to rip you off, let her suffer from crack lack as retribution at least. Plus, if you make a grab for the glasses and they DO get broken, you are still just out the cost of low priced glasses not high dollar stuff.

Bottom line, don't take anything into a club you aren't willing to risk losing, and even your bad experiences won't be so awful. Good luck with whatever you decide.

A few thoughts on BigKC's experience at Roxy's.

I don't think it helps to attack people on the board. Its possible that BigKC talked to his lawyer. Maybe he left out some details such as her offer of "extras" and his sorta passive acceptance. BigKC you let her take your dick out. From his report it sounds like she offerred more than mutual touching and he really wasn't inclined to accept. BigKC said he was worried about STD's. I think perhaps he was just looking for a "good deal" on some dirty dances. From his name we can assume BigKC isn't from the immediate area, so his lawyer probably isn't either. Maybe that's why he suggested contacting the ISP.

Occassionally in the clubs you'll come across some real hustlers who will try and take advantage of you anyway they can. If you have an incident with a dancer its best to remain calm and ask to speak to the manager. If that manager isn't helpful ask for the person above him. BigKC says the guy he thought was the manager just looked down at the floor. A friendly "hey..are you the manager cause we've got a little problem here." Would have drawn him in and if he still refused to do his job and help settle things then ask for his boss.

If you come across polite but firm you're not going to get bounced. If you come across as belligerent or close to blowing up with anger then you probably will. Yes the bouncers and managers tend to back their dancers but not in every situation. Especially if the dancer is new or a known problem they'll tend to listen to complaints.

Some general suggestions.

1.) Unless you absolutely have to, don't wear glasses into the clubs. Personally I think I get more attention from the dancers when I don't wear my glasses into a club. If you have to wear glasses all the time, then don't wear your $400 pair. I'm assuming its the frames that bring the cost up so much? My insurance won't pay $400 for glasses and I'm not paying it out of pocket. I've got two pair of glasses. My regular pair and a backup kept in the car incase mine get broke. I'm much more likely to get mine broke at work than in a club though. Some guys have their regular fancy pair and then a "lets get drunk and stupid pair" also.

2.) Avoid the dancers who try to hustle you right away upon entering the club. By putting up with that you're just reinforcing their bad behavior. Maybe I've missed out on some fun times but if a dancer hits me up as soon as I enter the club I'll automatically turn her down. Sure its nice when the dancers say "hi" or otherwise greet you when you first walk in but if they start trying to sell dances, get you to buy a drink, or offering a deal then its a polite but firm negative response from me.

3.) Be very wary of dancers offering deals. This is especially true if they offer it up right away. That marks them as potential ROB or desperate. Some may think finding a "desperate" dancer is good but no they are trouble in one way or another. If you pick a dancer and get PD's and she gives you a break, lets say she charges you for 4 when you really did 5 then that's great. If she offers you a deal as an enticement to get the PD's then I'd be very wary.

4.) Never pay up front or keep your money where it can be easily snatched. This can be tricky. At the Hollywood Club in WP the rules are the dancer is supposed to collect her money up front. Not many actually do but that's the rule cause Bob R. and management don't want to deal with non-paying customers. I've heard Bob R. tell a dancer "too bad, you should have got your money first!" But most dancers are willing to risk losing a bit of money and collect afterwards. I'm not sure what the actual rules are at the PT's clubs. I've told dancers we could do a couple, I'd pay for those and then we might continue with more.

Think this over very carefully. So you swear out an affidavit, that's your sworn testimony on what happened. Then what? Maybe, the ISP won't laugh in your face but at most they'll refer it to the Brooklyn PD. A Brooklyn officer might actually take the time and ask some questions about the incident the next time he stops in at Roxy's. He's sure to get this story, "I gave the guy some dances and he refused to pay me!" The bartender, manager, and other dancer will probably all say the same thing. Could it be possible that they thought that was actually the situation when you approached the bar? I think you'd be better off raising a ruckus with the PT's management.

I moved one hand to block her and she yanked the wad of money out of my pocket and ran to the back. I got up and did up my pants. I then realized that she had grabbed a wad of ones that I had gotten as change when I entered Roxys. She had missed the 20’s. I started to leave but she got to me before I got out. She told me to give her the rest of her F’n money. I told her that she had stolen all that she was going to get. She then ripped my eyeglasses off of my face cutting the side of my face. She then told me that if I did not give her the f’n money that she would break my glasses. I said nothing I was too mad to talk. She then told me to come on to the back. I said hell no I started walking to the bar. She said that if I did not give her the money that she would call the cops, I said, “GOOD please do” as I walked to the bar. I thought that if I got her to the bar that the bartender or manager would get involved and help me out. We got to the bar and she was still saying that she was going to break my glasses. I looked at the bartender and said can you help me, she said “sorry I can not get involved. The manager was ten feet away and he just looked down at the floor. My glasses cost over 400.00 and I did not want them broken. So I told the dancer that I would give her another 40.00 for my glasses. She said give me the F’n money. I told her that I would hand the money to the bartender and she should hand her my glasses, she agreed. So I handed the bartender 40.00 and she handed it to Leah. Who then told me to give her another twenty for the eyeglasses. I made her give the glasses to the bartender first I then handed the twenty to the bartender and got my glasses. The Asian girl next to the bartender the looked at me and said goodbye and pointed towards the door. I am mad at the dancer and at the PT’s chain because they let this happen.

My Attorney told me that I should take a sworn affidavit to the Illinois state patrol and have charges brought against the dance for Stealing, Assault, and Extortion. Then file charges against the bartender for Extortion. This would also set up a lawsuit against the PT’s chain. I don’t know what I am going to do.
