Conspiracy theorists like me say all this ia another push to digitize $. Cash will be eliminated as with cash it's too easy to hide from taxes, too hard to spy and control who spends what where. If enough of the cash only crowd gets burned with fake $, easier to shift to a no cash society. Any half decent dollar store cashier can test and recognize fake money, it's interesting that providers are apparently incapable of same.

They like to tell you that debit cards are easier and safer but where I work at, 2 truck drivers last week complained about their debit card information being hacked. And about a month ago at a Shell gas station a card reader was found on one of the gas pumps getting info from people who used that pump. I agree that in the not too distant future that cash will be taken out of circulation for the reasons you said. I stopped at a Taco Bell at night recently. They did not take cash. When I asked why I was told for the safety of the employees. I said really? She said not really. They were short on their cash drawers when they counted at the end of shifts too much and that was the solution they came up with. I don't think a cashless society will slow down crime. Instead of thieves stealing cash they will steal your cards. And the person who would not have the nerve to physically steal will be on their computer trying to hack. And as far as this hobby, the women should think, you can hide cash but if everyone uses a card to pay you then Uncle LEO and Uncle Sam can track you down very easy. Not only jail time but also the IRS wanting their taxes.

Any clue to what kinda bill it was just to help watch out for them? 100's or 50's watching out for all is a broad warning smart to watch for all the time but narrowing it down makes it easier. We have to be careful as well if they get stuck with it who is their way of getting off it? Us cause they aren't stupid enough to unload at dollar general just on us unexpected tricks! Just figured I'd throw it out so folks can for warn their favorite regulars to watch out.

Not sure what good it will do.
