I am beginning to think seeking is the way to go. Hartford has a Seeking thread that everybody seems to use. Does anybody think we could use one here in Waterbury? If so, I guess we contact A2.

If I'm not mistaken, you don't need to have the Admin do that. If you hit the New Thread button, it will create one in the User Blog section. That's where it is in the Hartford section. If you look at the first Report of the Seeking Thread in Hartford, you will see it was created by BaldOldGuy, and you also see this: "This blog is moderated by BaldOldGuy". If you look at the User Blog sections in most of the cities in CT, you will see Threads that were accidentally started by users who probably only wanted to post a report but ended up starting a new thread by mistake. That shows that anyone can make one.

Just hit New Thread in the Waterbury sections, call it Seeking Arrangements and it will start a Thread in the Waterbury User Blog section that users can add Reports to.

DonTrask 'and its not worth much' is spot on. Appreciate you putting the right perspective on it. You might have gotten the same answer if you asked her if she or any of her 'friends' have gotten an STD or take drugs. Smart girl: Infectious diseases are bad for business.

And its not worth much but I heeded the caution call and stayed away from Mongering for a good 6 months (March-Aug). But since I returned to the streets, I talked to every SW I picked up on the subject and my questions were simple, Did you catch Covid? Do you know of any SW's that got Covid? Do you know anybody at all that caught Covid and my unscientific survey results came back with zeros across the board. I even had one SW offer up that theory that SW's are immune to Covid, it only affects the pussies in today's society and anybody selling those services don't have time to be catching Covid when they could be making money. Sounds plausible to me.

The news article then discusses other information before getting to the quote you lift, so the article is not as clear as it could be.

But putting it all together, they are saying that there have been no major super spreader events, not that they have not been finding out how it spreads. In fact, they do have a pretty good idea of how it is spreading

Another possible theory is that the SWs you have been talking to may have an incentive not to fess up if they have had it or know others who have had it out of concern that this will scare you off.

Just a possible theory.

They lived to lie about getting it.

Thanks this is good info. Its interesting reading everyone thoughts on this but bottom line were all going to get it at some point. Most of us are lucky who haven't caught it yet because they are learning how to treat this effectively more and more every day. Don't worry the vaccine will be out early next month watch. Go vote.

Off the top of my head, I personally know 15 or so people who have tested positive for COVID. Five were in CT, the rest were employees or contacts I have around the US.

Of those, three died, two are still recovering and not yet cleared to go back to work, seven have recovered fully. Three are COVID-free and cleared to work but have lingering issues, mainly fatigue and breath related.

Of the three who died, two were 70-ish but in perfect health and living independently in single family homes, but living in areas highly resistant to masks and social distancing. The third was early 40's, with no risk factors and in a career that requires a fairly thorough medical exam every six months and extensive travel.
