My advice would be to either ignore that number from now on, or tell the woman that clearly she has underlying trust issues with the man and should just ask him about it. Last thing you want is to get caught in the middle, or try and lie for him only to have him tell her something else. Good luck

I wake up this morning and his wife is messaging me asking me all kinds of questions from his device. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! There is nothing you can say to "make things right". She is in denial and he is basically screwed. You better start worrying about covering your own ass because she could easily turn her anger towards you and make your life miserable. Whatever you do, don't do or say anything that could piss her off. If anything, you should just ignore her and hope she eventually stops contacting you.

This is one of the reasons I do not have a cell phone! Anyways, continue to deny, but more importantly do not answer any text or phone calls from that number again. IMHO
