A test that only tells one that one is currently infected is of limited usefulness unless one limits contact to people that also test negative, and then only if all of those people are careful. Better if there is also a test that will tell one whether or not one has ever been infected. Such a person is more likely to be resistant to reinfection. Until next year's mutation rolls around, that is.

A vaccine would be awesome.
