Libertarians...the best political philosophy...so good that that you NEVER want to see put into REAL practice.

Few people want to see -complete- privitization of 85% of gov't functions and initiatives, including FDA, Postal services, Social Security, and Education.

Wanderer, you're right. We're living a "1984 Big Brother" country now, where Americans are losing precious freedoms while our President says we're spreading freedom and democracy all over the world... Never thought I'd say this but in addition to donating to my favorite AMP's and dancers in Connecticut, I donated to the ACLU for the first time, I am now a card-carrying ACLU member, taking this one for the team to protect the freedom we have on this forum and in our daily lives. Wait a minute... due to key word recognition and warrantless internet surveillance, the FBI already knew that. Let's hope Jackson agrees and exerts his power to protect. You have to respect the ACLU for representing your dear Rush L. who attacked them for years, and then they tried to protect his confidential medical records in FL What irony! Fight the Patriot Act. I hope you are a libertarian. I agree absolutely. And the liberals are really no better than the republicans. Only libertarians truly understand the concepts of freedom and individual liberty.... Since you said it so well, I only needed a minute on the soap box.

Okay, a Bit brutal.. (Though, you can tell by the above, I Abhor jerks like Rush Limbaugh, who probably never got laid in his entire life. (then again,
who'd be crazy enough to lay him?))

More than likely, someone didn't like the idea of a massage parlor in "Their" neighborhood. (what about the other 99.9% of their neighbors?)
So, they start making complaints, try to go in, and get the place to break the law, then go to the LE with the story, that someone told them that the
place offered 'More than just a massage', but won't give the source's name (which, usually was them.) Then.. LE step in, and survey the place,
noting who goes in, how long, how they look AFTER they come out.
(which is my ONLY reason for enjoying the sauna. A quick dry-up after the shower). Then, they go back through their old BLUE laws, see if they can find a reason why the place is acting in a inappropriate manner. (I.E. offering sex for money, touching of parts of the anatomy deemed 'Sexual Contact'. Yes, I know.. But you get my meaning.) Next step, the sting.. Send-in 'Under Cover' LE, to see if they can get the services told by the 'Do-Gooder' informant, who was told by a friend, and IF the LE is told they must pay extra for those services, The arrest is made, and the contents & property seized..

WHEW! sorry.. I'm not even a lawyer, and they was long winded for me!

Aristocrat, over in the south-west end of Hartford suffered such a fate too.. Someone decided they had their fun, now to ruin it for others, told
HPD, HPD staked the area out (they still do, IMHO. That damn camera out by Broad & New Britain Ave.) sent in UCLE, asked for other services, but didn't offer money, were told they needed to give more $$, Hence, HPD had their evidence. and the place has been vacant for nearly a decade now.

I believe Sun Spa in Berlin has closed. Heard here that they were having issues w/ LE. Called last week and number out of service. Drove by and the sign is down. Not sure why they nail this place. I kinda liked it and it wasn't even full service. Anybody know what the deal is?

It was my understanding that pretty much the entire block would be getting demo'ed to make room for new apartment complexs. I just wonder how the crackheads are gonna come up with the rent for the fancy new digs.

Well, make sure you avoid it.. If you get a chance, someone snap a photo of it, and let us know what it looks like.

Seen a few in Hartford.. The obvious ones, go down to Jefferson & Main. Another, at New Britain & Broad, and,
saw yet another one, over at Myrtle & Fraser.

(kinda look like an old style street lamp, but a round base.)

Could've been she made it obvious what she was doing, and they watched and waited for her to get into a car, then pull it over for "failing to use a signal light". I've seen some stupid mongers recently making u-turns in the middle of the road, slam on their brakes in the middle of a major road, etc. The more obvious and easy you make it for LE, they're going to take advantage of that situation.

New Britain was doing a sting on Friday night. Had a young early 20s somewhat meaty short chick working undercover. she was talking on her cell phone. She was very cute. I saw a lot of suspicious activity that i strongly believe was undercover cops. I went looking for this chick , she was gone and then I saw a car get pulled over by a marked cruiser with her in it. This is all w/in span of 60 seconds.

Noting shows on the Courant, nor the New Britain Herald.. Only thing that popped-up was
an old story from last year, about two pros who were running an escort service,
on the herald's..
