The sponsor of Virginia's new age verification law for porn sites states that he and his family are getting threats.

No, he and his family shouldn't be getting threats, but that doesn't mean the law is worth defending. It's stupid and quite possibly unconstitutional as well, plus there's the possibility one's identification and personal information could be stolen. That's embarrassing at a minimum, plus it puts someone at the risk of identity and financial theft. The sponsor should have thought of that before proposing his stupid new law.

The risk of getting an infection, bacterial in nature from strains like gonorrhea and chlamydia can in fact transmit to your throat and cause an infection. Is it likely? I would say no, not really, but given that surgery will put your immune system in the shitter for a few weeks. It does certainly increase the risk.

Herpes would be the one you'd have to worry about more so than the bacterial infections personally.

However, giving (DATY) puts you at less risk than receiving as a general rule of thumb, as STDs are much more easily transferred from saliva to the gentles (;p )than vice versa. But again, the risk is not 0%. I don't like putting numbers on things but for the sake of argument I'd put the risk at 15-20% but since, once again, your at a higher risk from surgery, maybe 30-35%.
