I'm still keeping an eye on the local news in TJ and SD. Been a lot of cartel violence in TJ lately. Not the best time to head down there. Weed has been decriminalized in Mexico for a while now. Yes, they can arrest you if they truly wanted to. However, the judge isn't sending you to jail for smoking weed in Mexico.

If you guys didn't know all the strip clubs are owned by the cartel. I'm sure if a large room was purchased and the staff was tipped, they could careless if someone smokes weed. Obviously, I would ask the staff first. I would not be surprised if you could buy weed right at their bar.

Either way, I'm not going to head down there until their gang wars over. I'm all about having a good time and trying to fuck as many women as I can down there. I'm not worried about the cop or even local cartels. I'd be concerned with getting caught up in cross fire, not worth my life to head there now.

I just wanted to say that in The Name of Science we better be careful when drinking and smoking weed in TJ or we could end up being in the same predicament that the basketball player is in Russia.

They don't really care about weed in Mexico, they decriminalized it a few years ago. Now just because it is decriminalized does not mean they can't arrest you. If they really want to they can arrest you but before you go to jail they have to take you to see the judge first. At which point you argue that weed is decriminalized, pay a court fee and you don't go to jail. However, Mexico is nothing like the US. If the Cops start hassling you, simply apologize, it won't happen again. Here's 20 bucks for the inconvenience, dinner for the family is on me tonight. 90% cops will take your cash and go on with their shift.

Granted, I'm not white and I speak spanish which helps a lot. If your white, they might fuck with you more and try to get more cash out of you.
